Hello
I've seen photos of people fishing of the "jetty" in Arillas.  We were considering bringing our fishing rods next week after seeing these photos.  Is there any point?  We are not thinking that we could maybe catch our dinner that we could take to the local taverna to be grilled and then served with local vegetables, but the fantasy of catching something was quite tempting.   So, bring the fishing rod or leave it at home?

Id leave it at home. Not any whoppers to be caught, but a few of the shops in Arillas do sell hand lines and if you go to San Stefanos a few ships sell simple little rods. Seems a shame to lug rods all the way to Corfu.

At the beginning of September we were swimming with dinner plate (and larger) sized fish.  Given the right bait I'm sure they would be tempted. ;)

There was some guy in his anorak, fishing on the jetty the week of the storms... I thought at the time anybody looking at the webcam would think he was in the Uk with all the black clouds and him all wrapped up.  Might have worried some about the weather if they were coming out that week, looked pretty dodgy but it did get better most days.
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

does any one know of any fishing trips that leave from the arillas region.

the brothers from the grazella said i could go with them - but i have to be up at 4:30 in the morning.
(sod that)

and i think they do it with nets not rods (so it will be hard graft)
