Smile of a Child & Local Corfu Produce
« on: July 05, 2011, 11:58:16 PM »
Just heard that this coming Saturday July 9th, opposite the Local Brewery in Arillas there is to be an event which will be of interest to visitors and locals.  Starting around 8.00pm (ish) With local Corfiot produce being displayed and sold as well as Corfiot dancers and all proceeds going to the Smile of a Child.  Have seen some posters around resort.  Does anyone else have any other information to share?

The posters are now in English (translated by OH) The start time is 9pm, not 8pm. The Smile of the Child charity is a local orphanage in Magoulades.

We are lucky enough to be going and wearing  new Royal Ionian t-shirts. It look like there will be over a thousand people there so it will be a very busy night. During our trip to the brewery, last week, we were told more about the charity and every Euro raised will go straight to the children.

I hope to get lots of videos and photos.

Had a great night at the Horizon last night with Christos playing guitar and singing. George (ex Helens Crepery), was in really good voice and Christos was singing and playing from 8.30pm to 1.30am. If you want a great night on your holiday try the Horizon on a Thursday.
