Thanks Carol, There is one church in Arillas. It is near the area where the BP petrol station is, about 300 m further up the hill. There is a service every Sunday in the morning at 8:30 until 11:00 –11:30 ( Greek time….!!)J Take care, Dimitris

Just returned from spending the last two weeks of the 'summer' season in Arillas. Weather unreliable, but the area is great for walks and the sea is still warm. Arillas is still an unspoilt Corfiot village not yet taken over by the Brits - but if you need the nightlife try a taxi to Sidari, or when it rains watch the sport on Satellite TV in the bar. But if, like us, you choose to go at the end of the season, you will probably be looking more for the real Corfu and this is what Arillas has to offer. You can't beat the fresh bread from the bakery every morning, the locals are so friendly and helpful (and mostly speak good English). Or want a good lunchtime snack, then try Helen's on the seafront for a 'Special Sandwich', also available as a takeaway. But the real joy is the lazy evenings spent in the local tavernas trying out the Corfiot specialities and making new friends. Where to eat is a personal choice, but our definite favourites were Brouklis, a family owned taverna with a very good choice of menu and specials (even at the end of the season), very friendly and relaxed though with a high standard of service. If you're a lover of fish, try Vakelis (can't remember how to spell this!) - again a family owned and run taverna where you can watch the news and adverts (in Greek, of course)with the family while the children play around you. There are many other places to eat and a wide range of meals is available, so everyone should find somewhere to suit their tastes. For us it was a very memorable holiday and we will certainly be back, though probably independently next time round. Good luck to Dimitris with the website and we look forward to seeing your next article on Corfiot food!

Sono stato da Dio....ho fatto una vacanza da sogno...ho avuto la possibilitΰ di riposarmi....mi sono divertito...ho visitato posti che spero di rivedere presto...ringrazio Giulio e Daniela che mi hanno fatto conoscere Dimitri (o Dimitris?) Un uomo fantastico con una fidanzata fantastica....abbiamo dormito da lui....wowowowow non θ vero che ci sono le zanzare killer....la sua famiglia ha una taverna dove si mangia BENISSIMO!!!!!! Ragazzi andate a trovarli...la matina avrete il caffθ espresso....ho saputo da amici che, andando in vacanza nelle altre isole della SPLENDIDA GRECIA, hanno speso 2 € per un caffθ...ASSURDO!....ho trovato il caffθ italiano( LAVAZZA) da Dimitri (s?)....OTTIMO! E noi italiani sappiamo quanto ci manca il nostro caffθ all'estero!!!!!! Just got back home last night after our 3rd visit to Arillas this year.....YOU MIGHT GUESS WE LOVE THE PLACE?????!!!! What about the Coconut Bar then? hi,we got back from arillas on friday,we stayed at the kaloudis village appts,they were very clean and the ppl were very friendly,and,the pool is great.If u like good food then the place to eat is the "arilla inn",the food is to die for and the service is fantastic.Another great place is the "sea breeze",the drinks are cheap and the ppl are friendly,if u like things a bit more lively then the "coconut" is the place for you.On the whole arillas is a great place to go and if you like somewhere with a laid back atmosphere then arillas is the place for you.have a great time.........we did hehehe !!!!

Just come back from a fantastic holiday in Arilas. Stayed at the Kaloudis Village apartments if you go there please shout YASSOU BINGO! to Billy.He will know what you mean. Met a mad family from Keighley by the name of TAYLOR keep well away if you spot them!!! If you go to Arillas please go in Hellens sandwich shop the sandwiches are beautiful for the ladies the Greek man behind the counter is really tasty! (From Anne) Cant wait to go back to Arillas lots of lovely sun, food lovely clean sea. All the restaurants are really cheap are favourite ones are Kostas On The Beach, Brouklis, Sea Breeze and the Pizza restaurant next to whispers bar (YUM YUM) The pace of life in Arillas is so slow you are almost laid horizontal! Cant wait to get back there!

Got back on 19.08.03. A brilliant week spent at the gallini. Made some good friends that keep returning to arillas. Fantastic food at very reasonable prices! including the calypso, and of course the Brouklis, recomend the cheese pies, out of this world. Now in the process of booking for next year, can't wait!

Me and my family came to arillas in may. We had a great time .Costas restaurant on the sea front was the best restaurant there we went there nearly every nite til late nd got very drunk,costa and the waiters there were very friendly nd they played great music!

Came to Agios Stefanos last October & loved it. We walked the headland to Arillas were impressed and this year have booked two weeks in October in Arillas. Am looking forward to seeing the wonderful scenery and chilling out.

It was our first visit to any of the greek islands and to have chosen Corfu and more importantly Arilas i think we came up trumps. The beach was fantastic and just a stones through away from our hotel. We didn't experience one bad meal the whole time we were there and particularly enjoyed our meals at Brouklis. The only down side we experienced every night were the numerous youngsters roaring up and down on their motorcycles into the very small hours of the morning and the music bars that were close to our hotel. Otherwise very enjoyable.

Hi alle in Arillas! Einen lieben Gruί aus dem heiίen Deutschland, wo morgen bis zu 40 Grad erwartet werden! Da fahre ich doch lieber auf die Insel, diesmal leider nicht nach Korfu, aber der weiίe Nordseestrand ist bei diesen Temperaturen auch nicht nicht schlecht. hi to all. arillas is the most beautiful place in the world you must see it...if you can then you must stay at christos appts they have good company good food good drink(!) and stunning views that take your breath away every morning....if you get the lucky chance of staying there then please say hi to philip and barbara and ask hows linzi cause i mighrt be there for good soon....b4 march 04 anyway...cant wait and dont forget when you get there just relax take it all in and make sure you visit philip at christos pool bar opposite kostas supermarket up the hill in the centre of arillas...oh and the clay on the beach im not saying much but it takes years of ya!!!!!ask philip and he will tell you what im talking about.a good kept secret

Arillas is a beautiful village with a relaxing atmosphere. The people are helpful and friendly I would recommend a visit. The Lionidis family welcomed us and made our stay in their appartments a wonderful experience, we ate out each night always having good meals and enjoyed local cuisine, our two favourite restaurants being Brouklis in the main street and Stavros on the harbour front. We have been back for two weeks and miss Arillas every day! Best food at Brouklis (Greek Breakfast highly recommended!!) and a superb evening menu. We will definitely return next year - can't wait. Je ne connaissais pas , mais la Vie me les a fait connaitre et je ne regrette pas , bien au contraire, c'est un petit coin de paradis et je souhaite que cela le reste le plus longtemps possible. Tres tranquille, sans prise de tete, l'eau d' exellente qualite ,une plage, ou plutot des plages , tres propres. Je ne vais pas parler de Dimitri et de son resto, ou tout est "nickel" ,cuisine familiale, des prix plus que raisonnables et un cadre tres sympatique. Venez voir par vous meme, ce sera beaucoup plus concluant... Au plaisir de revenir et de rencontrer de nouvelles tetes ,d'origines plus que diverses. Ouassini K.

We have been coming to Arillas for sixteen years now and have made lots of friends.Dimitris Kourkoulos has a lovely Taverna and will do anything to help visiors. Look up Bridge to Corfu on the Arillas.com web site. Sue Jones from Bridge can make excellent arrangements for booking Apartments / Studios and Flights from the U.K Also the family from Kaloudis Village are great company - spend the BBQ evening there!

We enjoyed a great holiday in Arillas May\\June 2002 staying at the Mathraki apartments (pity about the hill).We went out to eat every night and tried as many different places as possible,all places we tried were excellent (Porto fino was the best & is highly recommended)every one we met were very friendly & helpful. To sum up we had a magic holiday & are planning to go back soon,so if you are looking for a holiday destination in Corfu go to Arillas if you are\'nt staying in Arillas make a point of visiting it,you will love it & its people,we did and loved every second of our holiday

Ihave twice been to Arillas Corfu with my son, I recommend Kaloudis Village Apts and Studios for the best hospitality.The Greek people are extremely friendly and we just fell in love with them as well as the island of Corfu. Arillas is idyllic for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
