Hi we are coming to Arillas in july '06, my hubby loves to go skinny dipping & we have heard there is a nudie beach very close by. Don't fancy a climb down the rocks are the tides bad ie do they come in fast & will we end up sleeping the night on a rock face like the puffins do ? Cannot wait for our departure date to arrive, this is our first visit to Arillas & any more info & recommendations will be greatly recieved. We are staying at the Marvel (Marvellous). Hi there Just a quick posting really - I hope someone can help......we've been to gorgeous Arillas (staying at the Horizon) twice now and everytime we are there, we've been "neighbours" to Enid and Bob, and family (Jason, Mandy and grandsons Jack & Owen) I'm sure many of you met them too! hia every 1, we have been 2 greece 4 years and are coming back again and only this time 4 a month because we luv it so much and the people there are great and would reccomend it to any one.It has nice quiet bars and the malibu is great because you cam go there and chill and hav a sing along to the karoke.It also has great views and is very close to the beach. like to say hi 2 every at the horizon hotel and evry 1 we have met in greece. Arillas is a beautiful place and we stayed there 6 years running. We stayed at the Makris. we know Philip and Helen at the Tra delphia, we know george and family at the marina on the sea front, we also know costas and bridget from the Galliani. My mum and dad brought me and my other 2 sist ers there every year, my nanny and grandad came numerous times too. I'd reccomend it to anyone, The Hudson Family

Just to say a BIG 'Thank-You' to Dimitris and everyone at Brouklis for many enjoyable evenings at the restaurant. We enjoyed the food so much at Brouklis that we only ventured out once to a neighbouring restaurant to eat in the week that we stayed at Arillas! Also a BIG 'Thank-You' to Dimitri's cousin, Noula from San Stefano Travel who also made us feel very welcome during our stay at the Arilla Inn Apartments. I first came to Arillas in june last year and fell in love with the place. so much so that we came back twice this year.It's so chilled out and so friendly. We especially loved spending many a night in the coconut bar, and can't wait to return. I loved touring the area on a quad bike and having a go at body boarding. Every time I am having a bad day at work, I just say to myself, this is to pay for two holidays in Arillas every year. Looking forward to returning

We have just returned from Arillas and had a wonderful time.We stayed in Irene villas which i can highly recomend, its like staying in our own apartment so cosy and welcoming. we will definately stay in them again and Eleni and Spiros made us feel like family.We have stayed in Arillas for 20 years and have seen alot of the kids there grow up its been brilliant.we hope to go again in may.

Just returned from a weeks holiday in Arillas staying at the Kaloudis Apartments. Arillas is an outstanding place with people to match. This is definitely somewhere you will want to return to and we shall along with our children. Billy at Kaloudis is fabulous along with his wife Hellen whose cooking is out of this world, apartments exceptionally clean with housekeeping every day except Sunday. Strongly recommend a meal at the Arilla Inn, this is the first holiday that we have eaten totally traditional meals all week (never realised how delicious Greek food was). Also try hiring a quadbike and take in some of the breath taking views from on top of the moutains apart from having an absolute scream at how hilarious the ride is you can zip all around the surrounding area in very little time. We took a trip to Sidari (what an experience, ask for directions before you set off!) worth it for gifts but Arillas beats them all! Thanks to all who made our holiday one to remember!

I completely agree. George and Telis made my whole family feel welcome during our visit. We have been to Arillas 4 times and stayed at the Marina each time. They were the best holidays and the whole family are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. We can not wait to return next year. I would very much like to stay at the Marinaki Apartments. Further to the comments about George from the Marina, what total and utter rubbish to say that he is a pervert. My family and I stayed at their beautiful apartments, Marinaki and found him, and indeed his brother to be absolutely lovely and they couldnt do enough to help. Take no notice!

Thank you for your support, Aly. It was the first compaint I have heard anyone make about Arillas and to be honest, there isn't any reason why anyone should. It is a fantastic place and we have thouroughly enjoyed every moment of our 4 visits there. Well actually we all had a brilliant time on our 4th holiday at the Marina Hotel. Everyone there is helpful welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The Greek nights are excellent and we can't wait for our next visit next summer. It will be fanatastic to see them all again. Everyone who has visited and stayed at the marina has praised about it and have returned at least 4 times. Cant wait until next year. The Dukes Family. By the way this site is brilliant. Thanks again Dimitris for making us feel like we came home!!! Whenever Eddie and I feel we need to just chill out we head for Arillas. Brouklis is most certainly our favourite eating establishment and the welcome we get from Barbara and Leo makes Amos our favourite for a quiet drink. The whole population of Arillas are some of the most sociable and friendly people we have ever known, nothing is too much trouble. We felt priviledged to join in your wine festival, a real bonus addition to the holiday. Ah well back to work!! hope to see you all again soon.

Our second trip to Arillas was even better than the first! Irenes apartments are fantastic the best ever in Greece we have stayed in, nothing is too much trouble, the apartment we had would have slept four/five, so being only two of us we had loads of space. Thanks to Eleni and Spiros. Dimitris this site is great! We look in almost every day. Arillas is a perfect holiday.

Very big how you do'n to Spiros, Poppy, Bobby & Greoge. Just back to cold Northern Ireland and missing Arillas and all the craic!! Big thanks to Bobby for putting up with us. We book a week away not knowing anything about Corfu never mind Arillas but the welcome we got from everyone in the Bardis Sun Studios was the best anyone could ask for! We do apoloigse to everyone that stayed last week for the noise in the bar ha ha yeah right DEAD ON!!!!! And just a wee thanks to our Thomson Reps, Leigh and Jason for all there hard work and wish them all the best for the future. Just got back on Monday from our first visit to Arillas, wow what can we say, it is fab, we loved every minute of it and have already booked for next year. We had wonderful surroundings, wonderful weather, wonderful food, and wonderful people.It was without a doubt the best holiday we have ever had. Hi,We have just had a fortnights holidayand would like to thank the people of Arillas for making our holiday very enjoyable.We stayed at the Makris apartments which were very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.Although it is normal on the Greek islands I do wish the sheets and towels were changed more frequently than once a week and a shower curtain would be appreciated. It was our second visit to Arillas and we were pleased to see that it hadn't grown too much.It would be sad if it grew too big as ifeel it would lose it's village charm.The restaurants we ate in while we were there were all very good.We used the Portofino at lunch times,it was handy to the beach and served us excellent food. The evenings we tried several different restaurants but the one we visited most was the Brouklis where Dimitri and his family served us excellent food and friendly service.We also enjoyed our evenings spent at the Thalassa on the sea front.It is great to be able to visit the arillas website so Thank you Dimitri for this service.I lokk forward to visiting you again sometime in the future

We have been coming to Arillas since my son Alex was 2yrs old and he celebrated his 18th birthday at the Brouklis sharing his celebrations with the wonderful Sandy, He will be 21yrs old soon and we have raved about our beloved Arillas so much our `family` has increased enormously. We The mad Wormald clan left our hearts in Arillas so to anyone who remembers us usually making a lot of noise andd creating havoc (in a nice way) HI! Blondie and Phil will be back on the 19th Sept and we cannot wait to see all our friends, Vickie and Steph are staying at home this year, (sorry boys) We normally come July/Aug for 3 weeks, but I am sure we are going to have a fantastic time. just made it home from arrilas, stayed at the 'horizon' on the beach front. really really good week just chilled out and enjoyed the sun and wine! only one thing that slightly upset us was the 'kostas' (it really did cost us! and was not good food so we went home and had some toast) but we had a great time appart from that! thanks to all the guys at horizon who all work from sun up to sun down and deserve a holiday them selves. xx

I am soooo happy! I have just booked myslef and my partner, Kevin, to come back to Arillas next year!! It is a big secret from him cos he's never been before, and is going to be a surprise. Missing everything about it - the breakfasts at Brouklis, the dinners at Brouklis, the sun, the sea, the Mythos!! and of course the wonderful people: Dimitris. Roulla, Takis, Spiros from Brouklis (the best taverna in the world!!), Mrs Eleni and Spiros from Irenes Villas (the best accomodation), everybody in fact that helped to make our holiday special. The clear waters let you see all the sea life in the waters, its just spectacular!! you can take a hike up the hills, which gives you some good exercise and some amazing views!! and after a a relaxing day, you can take a trip to one of the many sea frount restruants and have a delicious meal! c ya, love sam xx

We've just returned from a brilliant two-week family holiday in Arillas. Thanks to Sue Jones at "Bridge to Corfu" for introducing us to Arillas, to Spiros and Elena at Irene Villa (also Mark, Sue, Kaylie and Kyle still sunning it when we had to come home), to all at Arkokal travel who arranged our trips out/car hire and were always so happy just to help, to Hotel Marvellous and guests where we hung out a lot and were made welcome and to all the restaurants, tavernas and bars. Can honestly say we didn't have a bad experience. But can we make a selfish plea to Arillas to stay as you are, don't get any more commercial or grow too much. The charm was being able to walk down the road and say high to the people from the Taverna the night before, being remembered when you go back a few days later, to have the family holiday amenities but also to be able to walk out of the village into the Olive groves, the Heritage walk and so on.

Hi everyone! My family and I have just returned from our blissful annual pilgrimage to Arillas. The weather was perfect, the food was fabulous as usual and we have booked for next year already! This year we stayed at the Marinaki apts which were right on the beach front. They were absolutely stunning and had air con which was an absolute luxury at night! I even saw the foul donut seller this year and was sniggering to myself as he walked past, scratching an inappropriate body part I might add! Perry and Costa at the coconut were lovely as usual and spoilt the kids (and us!) rotten. To anyone going out there, have a fabulous time. PS: Dimitris, i am the blonde who always has the lamb chops as they are so wonderful!!

Back again on the Arillas website - I just have to log on to this site at least every other day to keep sane! We spent two fantastic weeks in Arillas back in June and we just want to go back tomorrow! We stayed with Poppy, Spiros, Bobby and George at the Bardis Sun Studios - the best accommodation in the whole village for sure. We had such a great time - everything was perfect - the studios, the pool, the bar was the best craic at nights, but the best of all was the welcome we received when we arrived late at night, and the care they all took of us during our holiday. We felt like we were at home - except the weather was a bit hotter than Northern Ireland as you might guess! We will be coming back as soon as we can earn some more money and get some time off work. The tavernas in Arillas are superb. I have travelled to many parts of Greece over the past 35 years but Arillas is the best. Dimitri at Brouklis was the best host and the best taverna we ate at. Keep up the good work Dimitri on the website and thank you for all your help with information before we arrived. Thank you Poppy Spiros Bobby and George for being such good friends and we hope we will see you later this year. If we can get a booking from Belfast directly that is. Some of you may not know that Thomson holidays is pulling out of Arillas and leaving families like Spiros and Poppy in the lurch with no contract for next year - after at least ten years excellent service for the company and its clients, with a very low income for the rooms. This is not acceptable for big companies like Thomson (now owned by TUI a German company) to just drop people and leave them unemployed for no good reason at all. If like us you have stayed at the Bardis Sun Studios and have had a wonderful holiday as we did then contact Thomson holidays either in writing to their Head Office at Thompson Holidays, Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London NW1 7SD or you can post a message on their website: www.thomson.co.uk. PLEASE MAKE THIS PROTEST otherwise when you go to book your holidays next year in Arillas from the UK you will have no choice where to go. Particularly those of you from Northern Ireland will not be able to book Arillas and you'll be fobbed off to Sidari or one of the bigger resorts which I can assure you you certainly will not enjoy! So let's get together and make lots of noise to Thomson so we can all enjoy Arillas and super holidays at the Bardis Sun Studios for many years ahead. Thank you

Just got back from 2 weeks at Anna's apartments. Thanks to Anna, Kostas and Tassos for putting up with us keeping them up late in the bar and making our stay enjoyable and care-free! Both Liz and myself enjoyed ourselves so much. We also met some great people (I see that Peanut has already left a note!), and Ant, Sharon, Sarah and Matt who are returning home today. I'm back at work this morning relaxed, refreshed, ready for anything!! I know we are only visitors when we go to Arillas, but everybody made us feel so much at home. No hassles, plenty of places to eat, drink, swim, chill etc. We will definitely be back next year. Thanks to everybody, fellow guests included who helped make our holiday so excellent. Our particluar new finds this year are: a great jogging route over the cliffs to San Stefanos, the veggie meze in Kostas on the beach, strawberrys and ice cream in the Horizon (Ant's idea), and the ambience of an evening drink at Ammos Bar - really cool. Thats on top of all the great stuff we uncovered last year!! Right I gotta stop now, but I think you can tell - we had a great time! Tone and Liz.

wHAT gr8 website my husband and myself are now back on uk soil after a fantastic 2 week stay at the Horizon studios1 marinos and staff were fantastic hosts! we both had the best time ever and will definatly be going back to the same place again, but we will be bringing our family with us because they missed out on such a beautiful island . Hello to everyone in Arillas, we have just spent two weeks there, we have been going back to Arillas every year for the last 8 years, its so nice and relaxing. We love Poppy, Spiros, Bobby and George at the Bardis Sun Studios. We would recommend anyone to go to the bar at the Bardis Sun Studios each evening for a drink and a friendly atmosphere. Everyone in the village is so nice especially Yiota who is such a lovely lady. Ena and her husband and family are really nice as well, they run the supermarket on the beach next to the river with the croaking toads. Must admit we eat mostly at the Brouklis, Dimitri is great and his sister who cooks makes really nice meals, traditional meals. So long as Arillas does not change and get too commercialised or noisy we will definately visit again and again.

Atillas Bay Apartments (ABA) Visit: Jun 2005 New Post: 29 Jun 2005 We have just returned and have been visiting Arillas for over 7 years now. The resort is excellent for a nice quiet holiday with plenty of tavernas to choose from for meals, Horizon, Brouklis, Thallasas and just outside the resort at Mon Amour to name just a few. There are some good watering holes, especially at Spiro & Poppy's (not forgetting Bobby & George) at the Bardis Sun Studios just around the corner from the the ABA, where everyone is afforded the best of welcomes. There are also some good walks for those who do not mind a touch of exercise to Agious Georgious, San Stefanous and further inland for the more adventerous. The ABA flagship revolves around the main block which is mainly intended for families and are at least two room apartments which are spacious with plenty of balcony space. The studio apartments, which we were in are basic but relatively clean. The toilet room is very small and our toilet door could not be fully opened as it hit the wash basin, it also did not have a window, which made it somewhat claustraphobic if the door was shut. On the plus side the studio was in a quiet location but within easy reach of all of the resort's main ameneties.

We've just returned from 2 weeks at the Marvellous Hotel in Arillas. Finally, after many years of searching, we've found "our" resort and can't wait to return. Spiros and Costas at the Marvellous were great and, yes, Perry and Costas still run the Coconut Bar. For anyone about to go to Arillas, you won't be disappointed - beautiful beach, quiet resort, good food (the Grill house was a particular favourite after downing cocktails at the Coconut!) and lovely people...Also, the Little Prince at San Stefanos is well worth a visit...

Greetings to one and all!Its been over a year since i was in arillas and long to be back.The reason is simple - rest and relaxation is plentiful here. Nothing is in a state of panic in arillas as the waves lap the beach. I was in arillas for 2weeks and enjoyed everything about it from the restaurants(especially mirage) and the nightlife (the coconut).Does perry still run it? Hi everyone, I went to Arillas for the first time this year, been back a couple of weeks now and cant wait to go back!! Stayed at the Bardis Sun hotel, really was lovely, absolutely loved meeting Poppy, Spiros and Bobby in the studios, Bobby does a mean cocktail haha!! They made you feel so welcome and were so friendly, cant wait to see them again. Also the best restaurant we found was Thalassa, absolutely gorgeous food, cannot fault it! Everyone who is going this year, enjoy, you will have a brilliant time!

Hi Arillas addicts!! To Dawn who was asking about the Tropicana Apts. If I am correct they are about 10mins walk from the resort centre, jjust on from the Galini. We stayed at the Tria Adelphia, which was further still and passed them every day. They looked absolutely lovely. As for fussy kids, I have three of them and found that there was your usual selection of standard kids stuff, fish fingers, chicken nuggets etc. Mine tried the souvlaki, once id persuaded them they were just nuggets without the breadcrumbs!! Theres a grill bar nest door to the Malibu bar that is supposed to be excellent for the kids, so id give that a try. Dont worry, they will love it.

Hello Ann and I have just returned from our third holiday in Arillas.We stayed at Kokinos studios,and found it to be almost idyllic.The basic studio was very clean with the owner being ever attentive,an abundance of clean towels,this accomodation must be soundproofed as we barely heard the usual noises,and this with a 2 year old in the appartment above us.Arillas is simply a great place to be,I dearly hope it stays tranquil and layed back,and we will return every year for the late spring vistas of late May.

Karen and i have just returned from another fantastic holiday in Arillas, staying at the Irene's Vailla apartments just up the road from Brouklis Taverna. We would reccomend these apartments to all as they are clean, spacious and very well equipped. Probably the best accomodation we have found in Greece in years of travelling. We ate at Brouklis all of the time including the excellent Greek breakfast and would like to thank Dimitri, Rula & Takis for everything. Arrived back home yesterday from yet another great holiday at Anna Studios. They are just the warmest friendliest family. Great studios spacious clean and great views. Nothing too much trouble for them. Don't know how Anna manages to fit all her own work in as well as taking care of all of us holiday makers. We met some lovely folk to this year which always makes the holiday more enjoyable so a big thank you to Roger, Carol, Lorraine, and Ronnie. Places to eat which we felt were worth a second visit Arilla Inn run by our close friend Leo, Portofino and Brouklis also Ammos which is lovely at lunchtime and for early evening drinks. Wish we could get back more than once a year maybe when all the kids have gone and are not such a drain on the pocket. Love to everyone and keep up the good work Dimitris with the website.

Just had a fantastic two weeks staying at Anna's Studios in Arillas. Anna and her family are just the best people you could meet, they are charming, helpful and everything you could ask for. The Studios themselves are the most spacious we have stayed in and are immaculate. The pool are and bar reflect the high standard. I cannot speak too highly of the place and the people. Arillas itself is a quiet (although the two clubs there are not my taste), and there are enough Tavernas to cater for everyones taste - even a chinese and a Pizza place. Specific Taverna's of note : Portofina - exceptional place - shame more people do not go there - it maybe is a step too far for some people, but it is well worth the visit. Spiro is a warm friendly man. It was our 39th Wedding Anniversary and we found a vase of flowers waiting for us at the table. The food is excellent - and Spiro also had made a lovely cake Brouklis - very nice we had three evenings here - well worth the visit on a lamb night .... Kostas - expensive and not very good the second visit. The overall experience 10/10 No lager louts there (a few Saga louts !!) Excellent - Thank you Anna, Kostas & Tassos.... Thanks to Spiros..... And a big thanks to any of the other guests that were there that took the trouble to join in the fun with us especially Ian, Lynne and Chelsea, Trev & Julie - and of course to Ronnie & Lorraine.... 10/10

The staff are so good and freindly, food fantastic plus they have greek dancing on Tuesday nights and a greek band Sundays all through the summer. was in Arillas first two weeks in May, had a fabulous time.Usually cook for myself, but once I,d eaten at the Horizon hotel , that was it , the pans went out the window !!! I have been to loads of Greek islands, and the meals at the Horizon were the best I have ever tasted,thank you chef (Doris ?) Marino and Pavel.

Well what can be said for our stay??, Not a single meal with any faults, good measures in the cocktails, reasonable beer prices, and as is rife throughout Arillas, the hospitality is superb, Nikos in the Mirage bar plus Kostas and Perry in the Coconut bar are all tremendous guys and we spent hours bending their ears! This resort is a must!!! Jamos!

The accomodation was spotless, the weather was beautiful, the people were friendly, and the resort was perfect - just the type of quiet and relaxing place we needed. I, and my family, stayed at the Tropicana Apartments during the week 02-09 May, 2005. They were pristine and the surrounding area was lovely. The pool and pool bar were also well kept. George and Taki who run the bar are friendly and I would recommend the Tropicana to everyone.

Hi To the girl who was asking about the Marvellous Hotel,you will have a lovely stay. last year my family and I were staying directly behind this hotel at Irene Villas (lovely, by the way!). We spent a few days at their pool and found the the owners to be absolutely loveley and we often stayed up late on their shorts! The hotel is on the main road, just up from the croosroads in the village centre ,where whispers is located. We are coming back in August for the 10th year, cant wait!

Dear Arillas and all its fans. We are returnining this year for our 3rd holiday. Can I just add that this page is for sensible comments regarding Arillas not stupid ones that make no sense and no-one is interested in.There are a few stupid inderviduals who obviously have nothing better to do that think this is the case.I think you no who you are.....

Stayed in poppy and spiros apartments, had a fantastic time, the locals were very friendly and the food was fantastic in the many restaurants along the seafront.Came home completely refreshed. Nial and Ruth.

Well what can I say, crap website probably created by a 13 year old. Amateurish attempt. Crap daily photos with no imagination. Its a pity because its a nice little town and this website does it no justice. Local tradespeople should get this site removed and pay for a professional to design and promote Arillas properly.

Arillas, what can you say, 3 months home, the day after you want to go back. We were more Yammis, just as you turned the corner, um could not understand we could not eat evrything. great time want to go back len and joan leicester.
