The cost of extra baggage
« on: April 30, 2017, 08:49:26 PM »
So just checking we have everything sorted for the holiday
The usual things like parking insurance up to date passport's baggage allowance
So I ask dot if the baggage allowance is enough, (you know what you women are like).
Book an extra 5Kgs she said.

So Thomas cook website it is and I proceed to book.
Short haul 5kgs extra selects first passenger

If I'm not on the Football Pitch..... I must be in Arillas

Short haul 5kgs extra selects first passenger this gives me the option of 5kgs for one passenger outward cost 35.... inward cost 35
in total Thomas cook want to charge us 140 for extra baggage. so we have decided to miss out on the extra baggage

Hi
If you don't already do so buy your toiletries at the airport to save weight. You pre order from Boots,   pay on line, and collect when through security
Our toiletries normally weigh in at about 4 kilo and buying them at the airport allows another 4 kilo of clothes etc..
As an avid reader on holiday, I used to use my 5 kilo hand luggage allowance for paper backs. A few years  I bought an e reader. Another 5 kilo of clothes.
Having said all that we still up grade to 25 kilo each with Thomson for 92. Not sure how this works out as we spend all day on the naturist beach. What we need are naturist flights and accommodation.LOL
