Arillas in October
« on: June 17, 2017, 08:39:01 AM »
Hi

First time on this board for a while :-)

We have been missing Arillas since our last visit to Eileen's lovely Villa Linakis a few years ago and are looking to fit in a sneaky visit in October (2 weeks from 5th October)

We are just a bit concerned about it being end of season and restaurants and bars being closed. We could do a week earlier but would cost an extra 300 squid. Any thoughts from the regulars?

I guess it will be dark by about 4:30 won't it :-)

I'd imagine its a great time to visit, reading reports in the past on here , as long as you aren't banking on wall to wall sun....
Visited Rhodes in late October once and the weather was great but its much further South than Corfu.

October can be a bit hit and miss but then it is October.
Have had good weather and vairied weather
The sea is warm,  and it's good enough to get a tan in the sunshine.
Places may be closing down but enough open to service your needs.
Love October in Arillas

Thanks guys !

Linda is just booking our fortnight at the Tria Adelphia now :-)

We've booked the "good weather" extra with Thomas Cook so all will be lovely!!

Actually she's booked the extra baggage so we can pack fleeces and brollies!

We've heard great things about this place and we spent our last afternoon there on our last visit, so we really it hope it lives up to the rave reviews!

We had a week last October 5th  also and we still had 2, 1/2 days on the sun beds. Warm enough if the wind doesnt blow. Then we copped the October storm when the bridge disappeared, but we had a car for the week so on the overcast/ wet days we toured and explored.
All the restaurants were still open except Portafino I think, 'Nut and Malibu were both open, but the evenings were a bit chilly. We wore our fleeses on the flight so they didnt take up our baggage allowance, just took them off on the plane and in the airport.
Towards the end of our week they started to remove the stairs to the beach by Amos and they started removing some of the sun beds.
Still had a great  week
