Greek coffee
« on: September 01, 2018, 09:51:46 AM »
I don't drink coffee but my daughter's boyfriend really likes and will be his first visit to Arillas next week.

Can anyone recommend the best places to sit and have a greek coffee. Also buyng it in the shop to make yourself - is there any recommendations for a certain type?

Just ask for a coffee  Sonia but say NOT Nescafe... Greek coffee is very strong and an acquired taste. Once you have tried it you know what REAL coffee tastes like 😀

Hi
With a Metaxa in it, Greek coffee (black) goes down a lot better

If you make it yourself you need a Briki to make it. Also you need greek coffee (obviously!) as it is ground very fine,
you leave it in the cup when drinking it.

here is a link. Just copy and paste.

Hi Sonia,
I'm not sure, we were at Bardis the last 2 weeks in June last year, we were a party of 3, me, hubby & our friend Pauline.
You do look familiar from your profile pic!

I love very strong coffee, my favourite being Italian expresso and I very rarely drink instant. However, I'm not a great fan of Greek coffee. Maybe I haven't had a decent one yet but so far I haven't really enjoyed it. It's not down to the strength, I just don't think the taste is brilliant.

Sonia. Don't bother with the coffee. Just get him trained to consume lots of Retsina 😂🤣
