Increased TUI hand luggage allowance

Following various messages on Face Book, which I don't subscribe to, but Val does,  people have been saying that TUI have increased the weight allowance for hand luggage from 5k to 10k.
Have been checking their web site but it still shows as 5k. Thought perhaps it was a Face Book story.
Just telephoned TUI and they confirmed that from May 1st the allowance is 10k . The increase will show on your tickets

Yes just got our e tickets and is showing 10kg hand luggage. I did wonder if that was right so thanks for confirming that

Not often you get something for nothing. Hope they dont take something away.
Our are always over weight  after the toiletries etc  we get at the airport.
I suppose after May 1st their website will reflect the change.
To put an extra 5k in the hold costs £23

Totally agree, family run business, never let us down. Been using them for the last few years. Both guys really pleasant, even stop off on way back to Arillis and buy you a cold bottle water.
