As we all know the Euro rate has been utterly pathetic. After ridiculously low rates up North I managed to get 1:10 from Thomas Cook yesterday (Albright I think it’s bloody well gone up today!) Thought I would mention that they are also offering FREE insurance for up to £2000 cash and you also get a fee gourmet society card which gets to lots of offers at restaurants.

Yes we had the free insurance and voucher with our euros on Wednesday (we only got €109) but that was better rate than sainsburys. Hear in the midlands todays rate is still €109 with Thomas cook. But like you we were running out of time to get ours as we arrive on Thursday.

Hi
Just as matter of interst, in June 2011, the rate ranged from 1.07 ( June 30th) to 1.13. (June 1st) Thats before many of the world wide problems were evident that have affected currency rates.
