Wine Festival - Sept 06
« on: June 19, 2006, 06:57:06 PM »
Just seen the dates of the Wine Festival this year (16th sept - 18th) and am delighted to see it's on during my stay in Arillas!  Was good craic last year and 3euro for an unending supply of wine isn't bad either!

Anyone else be over during the festival?

We were there last year too, great night (only managed the one) :-) Lots of wine and the school children doing songs and dancing
Will miss it this year as we need to come in the school holidays because we are bringing our daughters and grand-daughter

Flying out on 28th August 2009 (6th time)

Hi
Is the wine festival still on, on the 18th September ?  Flying out that day (7am) and hope not to miss it, last went to one near Athens about 35 + years ago ( twice ), but no chance of a second visit this year !!!! What time does it finish, if thats not a stupid question ?
This web site is great because you can find out a lot at "grass roots level " before you get there, not 5 mins before you leave to come home !!!!!!

should be ok, we'd absolutely no probs with the mossies at the festival last year, then again that could be down to the jungle formula.  Worth every penny!

it's held out in the open on a wee grassy patch just up the street a bit from Broukilis.  You can miss it.  Last year the stage was up a few days before the festival, so look out for that, and there was a banner advertising the festival dates too.
