Gratzella!
« on: July 24, 2006, 07:22:17 PM »
I am staying in a room at Gratzella in about 10 days time. Having browsed/searched the forums I have still not come up with much info on this accomodation - does anyone have some past experience they could share? Is it also known as 'Arillas Apartments' or is that a generic name for ALL of Arillas!

the rooms are basic but clean, could do with a bit of paint to freshen them up but very adequate. they consist of 2 beds  shower wc. a fridge and kettle. the self catering block has 2 bedrooms both with 2 beds  kitchenette shower wc. alex and dick

Thanks Dick!

Is the Gratzella a taverna or a private house/apartments? Do the frogs and other amphibians keep you awake at night with their nocturnal voices!? Or is that only when there's water in the ditch? e.g. Is it worth taking the plugs for the ears... ;-)

Do you mean Graziella? If so it is a taverna next to the Sea Breeze. It also has an outside eating area which overlooks the sea and you can watch the sun set from there. Its breath taking!!!We will be eating there on our first night!!The rooms are around the back, sort of level with the Arillas Bay apartments.I hope this helps.Like i said im not even sure we mean the same place.Have a great time anyway,cx

The frogs can drive you insane for the first couple of nights then you get used to it.  They do set the dogs of as well though!!!

we ate there one night, was very nice indeed.  the owner was always very friendly every time we walked by his restaurant.  Less than a stones throw from the sand!

I have been staying at the Gratzella every year for the past 27 years since my daughter was very young.   The rooms are clean and adequate.  If you have any problems then Costa and Aris are at the restaurant all day.  Lovely location and quiet being towards the end of the beach road.

We didnt eat at the Gratziella but everytime we walked past from the Bardis Sun the guy would shout out "lucky fella" to Mike as he had Lynda and me as escorts which made us laugh.

If the people were so concerned with the toilets at the Gratzeila why did they not complain to the restaurant owners instead of complaining to everyone else.
