i looked at price as well, thomson are out pricing it. i compared the price with what am paying at the kaloudous flying out 5th october around £300 difference for the same 2 weeks. making it 840 for 2 weeks not including flight meals or pre booked seats. how can thomson warrent charging this amout especially as it is coming to the end of the season. alex

These were my thoughts exactly, my first trip to Arillas was to The Bardis Hotel, we got it cheap on the internet, i thing it was just under £200 each for the week B&B, i looked on Thomsons and was shocked at how much theyre charging, nothing below £305 even at the start of the season or the end, its ridiculos that theyre charging these prices, especially when you think that we got a weeks holiday for 2 staying at The Bardis appts for £378 through nancy at Corfuescape, its a whole big difference in price, i know which one id rather pay!!

Dont get me wrong, the hotel is a lovely place to stay, didnt intend for my post to sound like i was being horrible about the hotel, just Thomsons and how much theyre charging!

Its a lovely hotel with a lovely pool, if youve got the money go for it, just rather spend money on going out and sampling the restaurants and having drinkies!

exactly my view, i have stayed there every year since 2000 and sometimes twice, last year was the first time i couldnt get in, even through i enjoy staying there it doesnt warrent those prices. the people i feel for is the bardis family they are the only ones going to get hurt by thomson doing this. alex

isn't it a shame hoteliers can't deal direct with us british holiday makers. they would make alot more money and we would save , instead fat cats taking lions share as always

Exactly, the difference is shocking isnt it!!

They should be ashamed of theirselves, because as has been said, its Dorita and her family that lose out because they dont get hardly any of all that money!

i totally agree with that statement, as im sure alot of people do. i havn't had pleasure of staying there myself but alex adores it, thomson are charging far too high a price and will only end up empty, as who would spend at least 300 pounds extra.its day light robbery and locals suffer also.

i think eventually thomson will do the dirty and drop bardis completely, it didnt work with the people they put in last year, as they were not eating in the traverners, they sprung this ion them last year as previous posts have said. would be better if bardis went with another tour operater. alex

Or maybe if someone has an email address for Thomsons, we could email them a link to this thread, then they can see the holidaymakers views and opinions??  You never know, it might work!

One thing I noticed from last July, we spent the day by the pool and we were the only English tourists there.  Are they catering for French and German people?  Maybe they don't pay as much?  Or maybe they pay more in general to stay at any hotel so don't notice the difference (am not implying that they are stupid in anyway!)  We had lovely food there and it is lovely and clean but still not worth paying all that money to stay there.
