Adverts

Hi Dimitris,

Not wanting to complain about anything especially as I can appreciate all the hard work and time you invest in keeping this site operational even through a busy summer season but is it necessary to have adverts in between the posts on threads, it really breaks up the flow and they occur quite regularly, if it was just at the end it would be fine but they are between posts making the thread less readable.

I understand  the need for the adverts to be there and that you kindly provide the use of this website for no charge and it needs to be supported, I was just hoping that this is a setting you could change easily. I'm also assuming this bothers other people to, if not then lets just put it down to me turning 30 and being scared of change :-)

Thanks again for the hard work and apart from the above I think the integrated (and much faster) forum is great!!!

Joe

No youre not alone Joe, i kept wondering what was occurring with the adverts appearing midflow.

Lets hope Dimitris can sort it out and that its only a small error to fix!

you spawned an advert below your post just then :), what's really off-putting is the adverts actually look like posts.

There might just be a little gremlin somewhere causing it, hopefully will be sorted shortly :-)

You are absolutely right I was thinking the same but I have not had the time.
the adverd system came up as an option for the new forum Iwill have to find a way to make the adverds less "agressive".

For the momment I desabled them for adicts, experts and super members.

Give me some more time We are opening TONIGHT!!!

Ohhhhh....I was afraid to say anything about the adverts in case anyone thought I was a grumpy old soul!!!  They are aggravating aren't they?

Glad to hear that you are going to sort it out Dimitris. :-)

Happy opening night!

Thanks Dimitris :)

That looks miles better and the new forum looks perfect now, I'm always loathed to complain about somebody's hard work but in this case at least it was constructive. I'll leave you in peace now while you feed the tourist hordes, see you on the 25/26 May.
