My firm favourite is always Stifado which is beef stew and the after that it would have to grilled Kalamari ie. squid. This is my humble opinion and I am getting hungry just thinking about the food ;)

Lamb Kleftiko or Bandit lamb as it is also known is a must for me when in Greece.
The origin of the dish is below. I nicked it from a google search!

This recipe is an adaptation of a dish fixed in the mountains by guerillas (bandits) who needed to cook without being seen. They placed the meat on coals in a hole, covered it up, and let it cook for up to 24 hours. No trace of any stolen animal, and no smell of cooking meat to give them away. If you don't like garlic, this might not be the dish for you.

sardines as a starter, Prawn Saginaki as mains, and Baklava as pudding then maybe a few mataxer's or Pnik panthers. Viv

Mine would have to be Stifado.

If you manage to get to Thalassa try their meatballs for starters they are scrummy!!

Tried it for the first time this year and can't wait to try it again.

Kokinisto - pieces of beef tenderly cooked in red wine and tomato sauce, served with roast potatoes, chips or boiled rice
