Hi again Oregano.
Thank you the update. Over the years I have noticed an increase in noise caused by an obsession with playing 'music' loudly.
We have lost many hours of sleep whilst on holiday, due to this abuse.   :-(

We have found in many hotels, the music is selected by the staff, for the staff. Especially around the pool where we like to relax.   :-(

In Crete last October I selected a place that seems to be on a par with Arillas. it was wonderful, with no noisy bars or disco types. In fact, the only 'Thump, Thump, Thump, was caused by a local....er.....umm........ local youth showing off his car sound system.  :-(

That said, I did enjoy a coffee and Metaxa on the balcony of our apartment, in the late evening.  :-)

We may attend the Rainbow BBQ whilst there.

I would have liked to be on the second floor of the Alex' to enjoy the view, but, my wife had leg surgery last year, and is not too keen on being on top now.

James
Did I spot a bit of FIMS in your last posting? (Foot in mouth syndrome) Does your wife read what you say?

Where did you stay in Crete James?
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Hi Brian.
I don't live near enough to Surrey to get Foot And Mouth Syndrome   :-)

blondegirl, the place we went to in Crete is secret so please don't tell anyone.

Have a look at what other folk have to say about it.

Well mazzz.
Last October, we were in Crete. From our balcony we had a wonderful view from it.

In the morning watching the sun rise.

We could look over the sea towards Libya and Egypt, or the local bay.

In the evening we could watch the sunset.

At ground level in Arillas the view would be limited, but on top we'd have a panoramic view of.....er.....umm..... more of Arillas.  ;-)
