A slightly cooler day today with the temperature hitting, at best 18 deg. A little visit to Arillas was in order for Wegg and I to unwind from a morning of gardening.

Apart from Vassilis on the end of the pier doing his fishing bit as usual it was once again very quiet and peaceful.

Take a look at Mirage - Have you ever seen it this quiet before ??

....

Maybe, with a great deal of imagination and if you stare at these pictures long enough you'll see a few kids having a good time, the pool being enjoyed and sunbeds magically appearing with people relaxing on them. If you stayed there this year or just enjoyed the facilities it shouldn't be hard to do.

Cheers All

A really glorious day today probably with temps as good as some places in th UK.- Eh?
It's 3:40 pm now and on 20 deg. (Touched 22 deg mid day ish )

Arillas looks as good as ever but you can probably see that on the webcam. Maybe next time I catch Vassillis on the peir he'll let me click a pic.

At some point we'll be visiting Armourada for an evening meal. Maybe a pic then just to keep you all envious.

Not much more to tell. I don't think Arillas will be changing very much at all in the next few months, unless I can get a really stormy day, so pics of other areas, under new posts, could be the way to go.

Cheers

Didn't get to Arillas today folks - Sorry

However I will try and click some pics of various places around North Esperion which you can get to see in a hire car, scooter etc.

Not sure where to post these so I'll use " Places to Visit " If I'm in the wrong section then I'm sure Dimitris will move it.

I'm working on one for Roda at the moment.

Temp here is 19 deg and we had a shower of rain about an hour ago.
Very peaceful all round this area. Football at Kavvadades this morning  but even the little noise that it generated seemed to blend in with the surroundings.

Was you playing Eggy? I`m just visualising, looking out over the gardens opposite your house. Very nice. Did you ever manage to scrump some of those apples to the right?

Lindy
Can you think of anything worse that me in white shorts and footie boots?
I think when they do a apple stock count it could bring up a few discrepancies.

We've just had another little shower here but it started and stopped before I could get the camera out. - Lazy day today for a change.

Well , good people.
A delivery fron England today of various items means that we have been very busy bunnies and in the next few days plenty to do.

So all can I say is - " Watch this space "

Corfu Town and various "Stone Merchants" scheduled tomorrow.
I will take the camera, of course.
Cheers

10th November @ Midday.

Heavy winds overnight with occassional rain made it one of those mornings where you just wanted to put on the heating and stay in bed all day.
The rain guage calculated 7.5mm and after making the effort to face the day we were faced with a lot more rain and wind.
The plastic chairs attempted to escape from the top balcony and a couple of big flower pots blown over. A cold morning with a temperature of 11 deg.

However, we got to Arillas, stopping on the way to remove various large bits of olive branches trying to block our progress. A few more holes are beginning to appear in the roads as well, just to make the drive a little more interesting.

So take a look at what we found.....

...

...... And we thought it was windy at Kavvadades.
What a struggle to get out the car! The door tried to break away from it's hinges!
I could hardly stand up, and this is whilst sober!

The photos aren't that good but I was under a lot of pressure.
(Pictures taken in the rain and I was moving backwards at the time !!)

You had to see it to believe it, I think. A very dramatic Arillas with, suprisingly, a few people driving around enjoying it as much as we did.......................
Not enough, though, to take a stroll on the beach so we pointed the car home for a well earned drink, or two. - 3 or 4 sounds very good at this moment in time.

It's now stopped raining and the sun popped it's head out, had a look around, and possibly decided that was it for the day.
The heavy wind is still trying to make a point. Probably telling us to curl up for the afternoon with a good DVD. - No satellite signal at the moment. Happy Days!!
Cheers

Amazing weather this afternoon John ( Riggers )
A very long time since I've seen weather like it. ( We've been spoilt since May. )

Heavy Wind, a bit of sunshine, showers.
Perm any two from three or sometimes have all three at the same time.
That's the afternoon here.
( Oh, and three very short power cuts, so far )

Gotta take the little rough with a lot of smooth I 'spose.
