John
Haven't gone further than the recently finished shed today. The rain kept away and it's been a pretty mild afternoon. Just what we needed to curl up and watch some horse racing, combined with a little drink and a few nibbles.
( Being a great fan of darts nobody will get any sort of conversation with me from 4 pm when Sky continue the World Championships )

And..... There's a match currently on going on the local pitch as well.
Choices , Choices !!

Best Wishes
Negg

Eggy, just in case you meet the horse again, her name is Dreamer. She's very shy, so you were lucky to get that shot of her looking right at you. I hope you both had a lovely Christmas, and thanks for yet more beautiful pictures.

Hope you won money on that horse.

If I rememeber correctly Riggers, she fell at the first, unshipped her jockey and was so disgusted she cantered off course.
( Last seen getting on a plane, hand luggage in hoof, for a "unknown" destination )
.............. But we know !!! ...................

Maggie
She's a lovely horse and it took a little while for curiosity to get the better of her and take a peek at the "poor git" making funny noises to attract her attention.

Arillas today still looks good. Dry with a temp of around 12/13 deg. Calm sea.
A lot going on at the Marina Hotel today, with steel lintels being hoisted to that new 3rd floor. If I had to stick the ole preverbial neck out I'd say they are on target for an April completion. If the info I have is true they could be very luxurious appts.

Tonight I hope to get the recipe for PATSA so if you have any turkey entrails left don't throw them away just yet. !

A lovely dry day today folks and, with "PDC World Darts" just about to show on Sky what more could I wish for. ---- OK , just a small drambuie then !!

Neill,
If you are throwing darts over the festive season, go easy on the ouzo or you will find someone keeps moving the board when you throw.
all the best, Mick ;-)

Mick
Haven't thrown a dart for a few years now but I bought a new board with me.
( Have yet to put in on the wall )

Night Owl regulars made us very welcome last night. A nice evening albeit a bit short as I wanted to get back for a bit more live darts ( Sad - maybe )

PATSA - Pronounced Pats-Ah ( Abbreviation on the A )
For some it mght be pronounced as PATSAaaarrgh. I'm told it's a soup made from stomch lining, usually a sheeps. But before some of go uugh who remembers the "Tripe and Onions" that used to be poplular. My ole mum loved it.
(Wasn't that like a "white meaty" sort of stomach lining.?)
Anyway Patsa is very popular , so I'm told. --- Dimitris may know much more.

Arillas still as good today, as yesterday ,and not much extra to tell you. It's been a fairly mild day here with around an 11 deg afternoon. The weather guage does forecast rain tonight though.

Cheers

Did I just hear my Name??
I have just been googling "patsa" and found this nice article  which is going to give you a fair idea about this delicious dish.!

Patsa, like tripe is a working class food. Some people eat it for breakfast, or perhaps they are eating it at my breakfast time but they work the third shift and it is actually their dinner or a midnight snack. But there are patsa restaurants in every town in Greece with perhaps the exception of Mykonos, and there are always men in there eating Patsa be it morning, noon or night and there are big signs on the windows that announce proudly to the world WE SERVE PATSA.

Dimitris
Will PATSA now take the place of Spit Roast Lamb as a special ?
I suppose the answer is " Don't knock it till you've tried it "
( Afionas Locals love it !! )

Arillas today is all go !!! - People fishing, people out boating. - Well nearly all go.

And what a super day for it too. Aound 9/10 deg when we were there about 10:30 but warm in the sun. - Now, at midday, just touching 12 deg.
Forecast of rain but then it said that last night and it never happened.
( Fingers crossed it stays away )
Cheers

It's not that long ago when you were saying " I  hope it will rain soon" How's Wendys vegie's coming on with the weather over there?
I hadn't heard of tripe tell I moved to Yorkshire and when Pete first asked me to but some I thought he was messing around when he bought some home I thought I was going to be sick and I know you shouldn't knock it before youve tried it but I never got that far. lol. Viv
