I've been watching A Place in Greece the last few weeks, and noticed that even the eyes are considered a delicacy!

Apologies if I've put anyone off their lunch - don't know why I'm reporting this really - I'm vegetarian!
Lynn ;)

Perhaps they keep the sheeps eyes to see them through the week

I wish I'd thought of that one last night Sue.
But, Linda @ Night Owl, showed us a prepared Sheeps head just before she took it to the customer. It was cut through the centre and then split open. It didn't look like a head at all but just lamb on the bone. The aroma coming from it was excellant.
( 2 more retsinas and I could have been tempted. )

Loads of early morning rain here, from 5:30 to 9:15. We logged 25mm of rain during that time. So I'm not going far today and even a 14 deg temp doesn't "temp" me.
It's 1:20 pm now and the rain has started again.
Anyway , a picture of what the track and ditch, below our house, looked like at 9 ish.
...

The ditch and the track is just about seperated by that length of greenery you see.

Sorry Maggie, probably haven't cheered you up with that pic so here's a flower.

These are popping up all around Kavvadades,Arillas and other areas and bring just a little bit of spring. A gentle reminder of what March and April can be like with buds springing up everywhere.

Cheers All

Viv
All we know is that thy seem to be from the "Orchid Family"
Maybe there's a green fingered Forum person who can tell us.

I just had to take the following pic, from the balcony, just now. It's 6:45 here and you are seeing the lights from Kavvadades village with the last of the cloud above it.
Not a masterpiece but just looked interesting, even with a shaky hand.

Today I had a stroll on th beach I met three old friends and had a good chat about the old times of Arillas as well as their opinion about new generation and kids that are growing up etc. (It seems that older people always blame the youngest for some reason).
As I we were talking I apologized and said that I need to take the picture of the sunset.
Why do you take this pictures? we have seen you so many times coming here doing the same thing!
Well, I tried to explain them that some people are really looking forward to see these photos over the Internet and that makes them very happy.
well why don't you take a picture of us? one says.
That was exactly what I was waiting and... there you are .
not the totty think our lady-forum members are expecting but still they are some of the people that have seen Arillas from the day it was just a town of 5 houses .

Dimitris,
what a smoot operator, can you get blood out of a stone as well, it's nice to see some of the more mature locals and some of the ladies if that can be arranged.
Cheers, Mick.
