Phil....you will have time for both in one evening! The festival will go on into the early hours. There was one in Afionas on 24 June and also another in Aspiotades when I passsed through on 2 July....looked fantastic fun.

Tried 3 times, but hopefully here it is...

Oh wow! And that is just day two... what will we be like by the Greek night with John and Dot and Dave and Anne on the second Friday?????

Hope the Kavaddades taxi men/women are still travelling when we're ready. Otherwise we'll have to party until they are....

Sorry riggers - we wish you were there with us - you know that.

And Anna - forget the bacon and tomatoes on Wednesday - maybe see you Thursday?

We will publish a detailed report while we are back here ("abroad" as Dimitris said) but we are already booked for so many nights in Arillas. Good job we'll be back all of September. Might calm down by then...

Goodness Phil - what photos are you planning to take that you couldn't post on the forum??!!? lol.

Dave, Anne - there will be nobody left standing when we leave. Eggy saw to that tonight. Kavaddades festival after forum corner  - even the Arillas hippies will struggle. Hello john got a new spliff....

But like Terminator "we will be back."

Perhaps that will be our new livelihood. We just looked it up on google cos even teachers are human....

angiem - jen has pics of me totally without clothes covered in green mud. I am totally happy with it.

We were careful to not take pictures of anyone who minded. That is not what it is about. You become Adam and Eve before they found the fig leaves. No serpents, no apples.

It is a liberation and a joy. I was amazed how Arillas accommodated me from day one. I have been an au naturel since I was 20 (I think - Jen will pre-date me if I've forgotten) It isn't compulsory, but very many have realised it

And to all - I'm sorry to have comandeered Arillas Today with my retirement and all your wonderful responses, but for me it was Arillas Today -  or maybe Arillas tomorrow - we don't live there yet...

Arillas today makes me ask 2 questions.

Question 1. - Have I found "John the Ref's" lost flip flop?


And , question 2 . - Did "Terry W" find it first, as it looks well chewed!

A very busy Saturday in Arillas today. Not many places to park a vehicle but still many places to park yer bum.


I was pottering around about 2:30 and, although a very nice breeze helped ease the 32 deg approx heat for those relaxing , "late long lunches" came a very close 2nd.
(A wise Greek told me it will be even hotter next week)

And a final word to Phil n Jen. Apologies not necessary for a very, very, mini takeover of "Arillas Today" - ( PS - Wanna be roving reporter next week? )

We'll be reporters, but ours will come out in two weeks time - gonna be so busy laying on the beach, eating fabulous food and putting on weight we are unlikely to be as dedicated as erja was. Wasn't she a star?

Maybe Dimitris will make us pic of the day wearing our Addict T-shirts...
