I wonder what the stats are for people travelling in and out of Corfu.
 I think it's just the fact that you can see the water all around that makes you wary.
We just returned from Boston and that was pretty similar to Corfu with water surrounding it. We landed at the start of a thunder storm as well thats another story !

I've flown in to Larnaca which is the same and also flown in to Boston.  Isn't the view of the harbour as you come in lovely though Sinbadsgirl?! 

I took off to come home in a thunderstorm too, and it was a nightmare!  The turbulence was horrendous and I was on my own too having travelled alone!

I'm sure landing at Corfu will be a doddle compared to that!

yes must agree the view of the harbour is lovely as you land in Boston, New England is such a lovely place. Just spent a week there while Keith was on buisness, cheap holiday !
 Shame there isnt a lovely welcome awaiting you in the airport !

Argh tell me about it!  I found Logan Airport really really intimidating!  Those guys that go up and down the line asking you your business, where you're staying, how you're getting from the airport etc!  It was my first time in the States and I was on my own so didn't know what to expect at all! 

The only other places I'd travelled by plane had been Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Norway who are all really relaxed so I found it really scary!  Got to agree with you on the area though - it's gorgeous.  I went in October too so it was particularly beautiful, they've got great trees!
