It was worth publishing that video Marika, to show the lightning at the end. Its hard to imagine that the video was taken at the lovely sunny place I saw in July.

Are the videos taken with your DMC-FX01 which is a Panasonic I think?

Hi Terry!
Yes, I make them with my Panasonic DMC-FX01 Camera!
It looked really so different to sunny days!
It was fantastic, but I like the sunny days more :-)
And next year I will make more Videos from sunny days.
It looked better on this side. Lovely sunny Videos from a lovely place.

Loved the lightening video.Bit too technical for me to try and do something like that.Still using an old 35mm Olympus camera for our holiday snaps but really should join the 21st century and upgrade to a digital.

Jen,

Perhaps you should ask Father Christmas to bring you one. The Panasonic DMC-FX01 is one of the smallest Digital cameras available and it is only about £180. Just imagine all the photographs you could take and not have to worry about getting them developed.

Marika,

Do you think it would be worth you posting similar topics on "Deutschsprachliches Forum".  It may get some German Arillas fans, interested enough to post some topics themselves. It seems a shame that the German and Italian forums are available but nobody seems to use them.

Thanks for the camera suggestion. Part of the problem is not knowing where to start, what to buy etc but I suppose like anything else once I was shown how to use it I would eventually get the hang of it.
The Olympus is an old faithful friend, must be about 16 years old now and the most technical thing I have to do is change the batteries and put new film in.
Santa's list already full but maybe I can ask for an early birthday present in time for next years holiday.

A short video of an Olive Grove  - taken just outside Arillas on the way to Magaloudes.

Try to have sound on when you watch it ( thats if you want to watch it)

Watching -and listening- to the olive grove video almost as good as being there.Next time I watch it think I'll move over and sit beside the livingroom radiator then I  can also get the feeling of summer heat to complete the picture.

To all you clever technical minded people who post pictures and videos a big thank you.Keep them coming. It will make winter pass a lot quicker.

Marika, and anyone else who is interested

I have resurrected an account at www.snapdrive.net for the sharing of large files. The videos on Imageshack are shown in a reduced format due to file size restrictions. I am putting the original videos on to snapdrive.

Anyone can download them ...Username is  - arillasman
                                            Password is   - corfu

This an ideal method of sharing large files although the uploads and downloads can be slow. It will be a good place to share Christmas music and even some films for Eggy.
