Good morning all,

My daughter has just contacted me - she sounds alive and well.
I am just about to ring her back - but thought it best to inform you all
first so that you do not waste any time looking for her.  Thanks to
you all.  I will up-date you after my conversation with her.

Kindest regards.
Trish

Good news Trish.

But you realise that means I have to stay home this morning and help the builders.

Cheers
Negg

Dear Negg,

So sorry you cannot truant this morning.  However, I am delighted (though somewhat cross!) that I have been able to contact Sam - who is totally bemused that I should have been so worried, and horrified that the people of Arillas are conducting a search party.  Honestly, kids - who'd have them?   She insists that her phone has been on all the time, and cannot understand that she has been "off the grid".

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you one and all for your support, you truly are a wonderful bunch of people.  I am in Sidari in June, and will take a trip to Arillas to buy a drink for anyone who might remember me.

Kindest regards to you all.
Trish

Just picked up this thread this morning, what a relief she is safe.  They just don't realise the things that go through parents heads do they.

What a fantastic response you had from everyone, especially Negg and Dimitris.  If she hadn't rang you yet, you can guarantee these guys would have done their very best to locate her.

Just make sure you bring pickled onions in June for Negg and Wegg!! lol. xx
(I'll leave you to explain that Negg x)

Trish, am so glad everything turned out to be ok - it is such a worry when things like this happen and with her being in another country, must have been a nightmare for you!

Great news Trish,

Even when they are in their 30's they can still be a worry at times. Thanks for the PM and give her a big cuddle and kiss when you see her.

Excellent news! I wondered why Eggy was in the garden building his shed this morning when he should have been in Magoulades!

Great News Trish!!
You must be feeling a lot better now! and so we all do too! *
As far as mobiles are concerned I must say that in Magoulades the reception is very bad.
Whenever I drive trough and the mobile would ring, there is no way to get proper signal.
So that must be the reason that you could not reach your daughter!

Hope to see you in Summer 2008 in Arillas,

Dimitris

Dimitri, your grammar is just fine. To me, language is about communication and you always achieve that so unless you really feel the need to write "perfect" or "correct" English, you don't need anyone to correct you.

I have lived in the same village all of my life and being a member of this forum is just like being in a village. There are a few disagreements, recipes are swapped, members feel like they are neighbours  who you have known for a long time, birthdays and other events are acknowledged but best of all, incidents like this topic create a reaction from members who show concern and show that they will do anything to help.

I think that sums up what Arillas is really like. Its gives you a good feeling.
