Cardiff CWL 'Wales International Airport'.
« on: February 23, 2008, 03:48:59 AM »
Hi All,
The more I look at the services available from my local airport the more I despair! There is such a lack of choice from both destinations and service providers.
The airport is generally well equipped, good catering and parking facilities but oh so expensive when it comes to flights. The choice of destinations is also severely limited. It makes me angry, that if I am prepared to travel to Gatwick or Stanstead I can get relatively cheap flights, but the 'local' airport 'Wales International' does not live up to its name. With the increase of passenger numbers at these already overstressed airports, surely it makes sense to make more flights available from 'local' airports, hence saving carbon emissions in the additional transport required and easing the strain on congested airports.
Martin.
