A very misely 1.14 at the post office today. If you get more than £500 you get 1.16 :( seems i have made the wrong decision waiting.

They did say they expect it to go back up once the kids are back at school, are you having that one ???

Hi there

returning to paradise (spelt ARILLAS) next week - can someone advise please, is it better to get euros in Britain or wait until we get there - current options in UK are around 1.18 ( albeit with no comission)

It's around that e 1.23 today. - Not good but at least you give the commission to Arillas businesses.

Many thanks - agree with you that I would rather pay the commission in Arillas than UK.

Only 7 days to go & counting down every minute.

Once again - many thanks for the info.

Todays rate is e 1.245 folks.

I'm told that some places in Sidari offer e1.25. - But you gotta get there.

I reckon the Arillas rate could go 0.75 either way by Tuesday next week.
( Love to see e1.255 )

Near where I live is  a company called 'Cheque Centre Currency' they also have an internet site by the same name, well today they are selling at 1.219 to the £. If you go to some of the larger travel agencies they will match other local prices, so when I need a few euros I just quote the CCC prices and have always had it matched, by a few I mean about £100s worth. Normally I wait untill I arrive at my holiday destination.
Just a thought, Mick.

Today Althams in Bury is offering 1.24 to the pound. So looks like things are improving!
