Only mean coz England, Scotland, Wales, The Republic and Northern Ireland aint there. For me that simple left the lovely Greeks to support. I watch footy 9 months a year and Caz is a season ticket holder with the Toon Army, but..........France & Germany...No thanks :-)

Anyway, when we visit, there is nothing on at all.....so happy!

Mean me
Not likely I love football, don’t care who plays, two fly's in a saucer and I would referee it.
Like you nothing doing when we are over in July no Footy no Olympics
Nothing much on the sporting calendar
All the more time to enjoy the peace quiet and friendliness of Arillas. Can’t wait. Will look out for you in July.
Up the TOON

I am not bothered about football either.  I wouldnt know one team from another even in different colored shirts.

In Arillas 2006 (was it the World Cup, I dont know!) life seemed to revolve around watching the match.  We would go to the bar ready for dinner watch a bit, go for dinner and a walk then go back to the bar and watch some more plus cocktails which I enjoyed more.   Last year it was the Grand Prix, I hope there is nothing going on in September!

Sorry to show my ignorance but what is the Toon Army?

Hi john

Can I keep the book on the fly-in-saucer contest? guess you might lose as referee....

odds are
John 66 - 1
Eggy 40 - 1
Terry 33-1
Justlynn 10-1
Sandyx 6 - 1
riggers 5 - 1
justjen 3 - 1
viv 2 - 1
EEG 2 - 1
Eileen 9 - 5 odds on favourite

Dimitris is a non runner.

I've just offended all of my forum friends who aren't there, but none intended - your odds could still be fitted in.

wish I hadn't spent 2 hours in the chatroom drinking tea. Or maybe it's a senior thing.

lol

Hi BlondeGirl

The Toon Army is the followers of Newcastle United FC, Toon being the Geordie reference to the city of Newcastle. As for September, football season in full swing, champoins League football and possibly an England World Cup qualifier. Of course you could do what we are doing at the moment and ignore the whole thing :-)

Shame, but from what people say Im sure we will be back, so maybe next time or if we fall in love with the place we might not leave. Will try not to drink the place dry, but can't say the same for the various Greek Lamb dishes. Mmmm! ;-)

If I got this right GazCaz we overlap for our first week in July (arrive on 7th.) Please feel free to come up to us and say hello. You can't fail to recognise the Arillas "hippies" and we might even tempt you to a Mythos in the Coconut!
