Sorry about that Blondegirl.  We purchased the plot in2007.  Have you purchased a plot elsewhere?

Hi Sara,

I gather that you're going over to Corfu to check on your build this week-end?

Make sure you take plenty of pics to post on here when you get back.

When are you back?

Angie

The large retaining wall - looks more like the Hoover dam!!!

No, this is not an indoor swimming pool!! There has just been so much rain lately. On this visit we watched the concrete pouring lorry being pulled out of the muddy drive by the JCB - it took about an hour.

Villa Theia looks more like a house now that it has been rendered.  The roof tiles are in place & the pool is taking shape.
Your're right Erja it is good to see our dream ' coming together '. Can't wait until May when we will be spending the month there - gardening, doing lots of DIY & buying things to furnish the villa, although most of our furnishings we are having shipped over. Hope to have a little 'me' time too, relaxing around the pool.

Hi Connie & Janis,

I can't believe a year has passed since I started this thread & this time last year we were going over to Corfu to see our build in progress & to choose fixures, fittings & tiles etc.

My diary seems to come to an abrupt end, but the story continues under the heading New Villa for 2009  in Accommodation Reviews. The final chapter - photos of the completed villa can be found in my advert.

Its good to look back at those exciting & nerve racking times - hoping that the build would be finished in time, buying the furniture & organising transportation plus 101 other things. No wonder I've come across a few white hairs lately! It was a very stressful time, but all worth it in the end.

Sara....x
