Wow....well spotted Eileen...we have already booked flights for May...(cost an arm an a leg)   just bookesd easyjet from Manchester for next october Total cost  £147.00 return for the two of us....cant beleive it.......

Life is to short.......should be a great boost for the village with the state of the Euro  etc......alll we need now is a reduction in the taxi transfer!!!

You're so right of course Kes.  Wouldn't it be wonderful for the local hotel and apartment owners if this brought a second visit in the year within financial reach of so many more regular visitors...not forgetting to mention a few more first timers too.

The Easy Jet flights start from 22nd May and are on Monday and Fridays, prices look good at the moment.

Prices are really good but still not worth a 6 hour drive down for us.Need to campaign now for Glasgow or Edinburgh flights.

TYPICAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Live 4o mins from Manchester yet I have booked from Gatwick cos never thought they would do Manchester!!!!!!!! Arghhhh.  Wonder if you could transfer?

Jo....logically you could transfer by amending your booking. It costs about £25 per amendment (I did it last year) and you might get hammered for each of you each way. Even so, this may still work out cheaper(and certainly more convenient) than travelling to Gatwick. Fiddle around online and see what charges come up, or phone EJ. It's got to be worth a try.

Hi Jo

We are in the same boat (plane ) , and yes you can change as we did a few years ago . But if I remember right it is about £25 per person for each change and if the price is less you don't get a refund , BUT if the price is more you do pay the extra .
