Perry & Jimmys apartments
« on: May 25, 2010, 06:58:38 PM »
Hello, I have booked for myself, husband and three children in these apts in August, Can anyone tell me whether or not they have a fridge as Thomas Cook have been really unhelpful they don't seem to have any info at all. Do they have a maid, supply towels etc safety deposit boxes any where to hire AC or fans????? Also could anyone let me know roughly how much an average meal and drinks are (kids eat mainly chips and burgers etc.
Thankyou

Thanks very much, Ive been a little worried what with our tour operator being no help whatsoever!!!! Are we far from the beach do you know? Looking at the reviews it looks as though the rainbow complex will be our main base, do you know if it is expensive to eat and drink there and the kids to dance and sing etc on the evening will they be able to do that here, does it have much family entertainment???
Thanks
Do you holiday in arrilas or do you live there?

Ha ha claireskilb! We all live there every day on the forum! Kev and I are great friends having "met" on here and in Arillas itself.

Rainbow has a lovely pool, lovely hosts and many return time after time. It is but a short walk to the centre and beach (nowhere is far in Arillas.) You may find that Captain's Table opposite Rainbow will keep the kids happy, as will Rainbow itself. But on the way towards the beach is Stekis, where you will also find whatever you need. Food is one of the many great attractinons of Arillas.

The Malibu and Coconut bars are also just along the road from you, where they will have all the entertainment they need.

Have a great holiday. You have made a good choice....

Phil

My daughter and me were eaten alive the first time we went to Arillas but found out some very useful info for our return trip and it is really effective too

Plug ins for the room are a must
Use Boots Soltan moisturising after sun insect repellent spray instead of aftersun cream.
Don't wear perfume !
Use a lemon scented showergel (Morrisons do their own and Original Source do one too)

You will have a fab time, we stayed at the Rainbow both times and you will find brothers Jimmy and Spiro fine hosts.

Claire, first of all a big HI! Next, I have 3 boys (now 15, 11 and 11) but we have been coming to Arillas since my eldest was 1 and I can assure you that everywhere caters for the little ones. They offer the nuggets./fish fingers/sausage/pizza/burger options as well as all thinks Greek of course.

I am ashamed to say that one year, one of the twins had " just chips" the vast majority of nights but they are slowly becoming more adventurous and even in the (all fabulous) taverna's that dont offer a kids menu, they will do smaller versions of main meals.  You are in a perfect position at Perry and Jimmy's and I assure you that you will love Arillas. we are there from 20th Aug so me may even bump into you.  As for the mossies, I agree with all the previous posts, I would also advise taking Vit B tablets 2 weeks before you go and during.  I am a firm believer however that if they like the taste of you they will enjoy you whatever you do!

just a little observation on the safty deposit boxes at the rainbow, we were in menorca last week which had a safety deposit box in the room, it struck me what a good system they have at the rainbow, the box has 2 keys one held by you and one held by jimmy and spiros, should you lose the key nobody can access the box without on of the boys present.

Hi mazzz. No way is it fully booked for next year. Maybe a bit early for the tour operators? Don't know. But you can always contact Jimmy or Spiros and find out how to go about it. We'll be in Rainbow in two weeks time (socialising  - we are staying at Brouklis) but if you PM or post some details like dates, numbers etc, I will happily find out for you and let you know.

Phil
