Today it's busy 15th of august
August 15 is the third most important religious holiday in Greece after Easter and Christmas. The entire country is virtually shut down, and everyone takes advantage of the long weekend to rest or to light a candle for Panagia (Virgin Mary) who's ascent to the heavens is commemorated during this day.
It's an other  holiday where the Greeks have fun by going to the church in the morning then after the church to the beach for a swim then they choose a good taverna for lunch , then they take a nap , and at about 17:00 they go again for swim untill 19:00 or 20:00  where they get ready to go out to eat again in a taverna at about 22:00 or even later.

Jen disagrees about the knees. Sorry viv luvver. Karelian Blondes don't do knees?? I so wish Jen and me were there doing it all with you. And now I can confirm, so does she.

It looks as lovely as ever in Arillas. 15th August look as good as 22 October.
