A Sneak Preveiw of Mon Amour for next Summer

If you do the circle walk from Bardis Sun back to the front you pass the Mon Amour Apartments and the number to call for free transport is listed on their wall. We haven't been either but next year hopefully !!!

OK Found it.
Have driven past it many times.
Will go have a look next June.

Every time I walked past I did not have a pen and thought oh it's ok I'll remember it.
Then we'd meet someone we knew and start chatting and I would completely forget it.
Sadly Just Phil we will miss you again next year as we don't arrive until 06th August.
We too like Vavillas and the wine there is an absolute bargain !

The Mon Amour [also know as Kokkinos Taverna] is on the Kavadades road. Instead of turning right for Corfu Town [by the car repair garage] carry straight-on, as if you were driving to Sidari. The Mon Amour is a little further on, on the left.
I'm not sure what the connection is with the Mon Amour apartments that Jersey Bean has mentioned [Eileen or Eggy are sure to know]

Mon Amour is 1 place we have never been. We passed it once when we got lost on the way back from seeing friends 1 night and son in law missed our turning but not sure if we would be able to find it again.

And you forgot to mention the builder !  A great builder who cares about his work !!

Spiros Aspiotis from CorfuBuild which is on the left , going back toward Arillis , just past the supermarket , next to a fantastic coffee shop.  If you have any plans for building , call in and see Aggie who speaks  perfect "New York" English !!

I know because he is building our house with the same roof !

I am amzed how many people seem to have not been to Mon Amour ( having said that completely understand problems with walking and other physical problems).  We have been going for many years now and the food and hospitality have always been great and great value to.  They are a lovely family right frorm Great grandad Stakis through to Grandad Spiro to Yianniss and Stamatsi their wives and little new arrivals ( apologies to all at Mon Amour I have temporarilly forgotten their names)  So in summary those of you that have not yet  been taken advantage of the free transport and get yourselves up there and  I promis you Iam not on commission.!!!

Wow - Eggy thanks for the photos - I love the map in bricks. Just to confirm that they do pick you up and take you back again = we did it last year and will no doubt do it again this year. I have my Mon Amour ashtray sat next to me as I type. No....... I didn't steal it - they sell some amazing pottery.

Anne, the code for Corfu is 0030, but as the tel no I've given already starts with a 0, just add 003.
