George will be running his Parents Supermarket, close to Mathraki apartments. So you'll still be able to find him, Im sure he'll serve you a beer and you can sit and chat. So no fear George is not lost just a change of scene!

Thanks for the update Simon.
We first met George back in 94 when he was at the supermarket which is next door to the grill room.
Ah well we will just have to tootle up the hill to have our daily chit chat.
Im sure we wont be alone in wanting to support George at the supermarket...which will hopefully still have a few tables and chairs out side for a nice cold beer, ouzo and lemonade all washed down with several metaxas.
Hope the grill room will still do a good old breakfast or in our case afternoon breakie as we soak up the sun and watch the world go by on the front.

I'm hoping now the season has started that we may get some feedback regarding the Steki and Helen's, would be a shame to see the Steki closed. I still miss the Arillas Inn!!

I got back on Thursday and the grill bar is definitiely not opening this year (so I was told). The pizzeria was showing signs of getting ready....Hopefully the people renting the creperie will be open soon. I saw George briefly sorting out the supermarket - a definite treat for those staying at the Mathraki!!
