We are coming last week in May, last year it was about 2-3euros better than at home, everybody gave roughly the same rate, so would guess around 1.10 this year, as its 1.08 at the moment in Sheffield. Bring back the Drachma!

I got 1.13 at the ATM in Corfu last week. But Nationwide account holders BEWARE. Not only are they now charging £1 per withdrawal (I knew about this) - which I didn't think was too bad - but I have also been charged about £5 commission on each withdrawal. I shan't be using that system again!!

I closed my n/wide account for that very reason, Sandy. It was going to cost me £6.00 for every £100.00 that I took out. I need the money more than N/wide, I think.
Sorry we missed you again!!

Remember when it was £1- Euro165....and before that the Drachma, infact we were there when they had that year of both currencies. Who cares though if a pork chop costs me £6 or 8 Euro.....im still eating a pork chop in Corfu.
Just a couple more weeks to go

That's the thing isn't it, we all hope and pray that it will fluctuate in our favour but at the end of the day I know where I'd rather be and I wholeheartedly agree, I too would rather eat a Pork chop in Corfu...very funny, that made me laugh
