Possible Cash Machine, 2012?
« on: January 28, 2012, 06:48:47 PM »
What do you think are the chances of the ATM being put back this year?  I know it`s not a major problem if it`s not but it does come in handy.
  Wishful thinking???

Hi Paul D

We got a taxi last year from Arillas Travel to go to ATM in ?Kavadades.  The taxi driver told us that they  were trying to negotiate with one of the banks to put an ATM back in Arillas (presumably in their premises!) and she seemed quite hopeful that this would happen as they were prepared to have it installed free of charge, as apparently the bank have to pay a fee for installing machines!  Let's hope the negotiations go well, it can be such a nuisance especially if you don't drive and it's hard to plan ahead for how much you will need to spend while you're there.

Thanks for the info, Sandra and Jim.
You never know - maybe it will return.
Not too much of a problem if it doesn`t but I know what you mean about possible spends on holiday.

It would be good to have an ATM back again but, in a perverse way, it somehow seems more natural without - we queue up in the UK to use a cash machine but if there is no ATM in Arillas we don't have that pressure (does this make sense??)

Yes Janis, it makes sense to me, the only place I want to queue in Arillas is at the bakery....... first thing in the morning when all the shelves are full.

I appreciate what you say about ATM cash machines. However you have to understand that emergengies to occur particularly for people or restuarants too dont want credit/debit cards. Also looking forward for Arillas they will need all access to finance.I dont believe that will challenge the arillas magic.
