Thank you, Martin, for granting me my wish and showing us your lovely photos. Just what the doctor ordered...
Many an eye must have grown misty watching those sunny views on a cold day in February.
Thank you again!

Has anyone had any success at photographing the fireflies? I had lots of attempts last May, but failed. When the roads and hedgerows are full of them like a Disney scene they make a stunning sight, but not been able to get anything on the camera.
Martin.

Hi martin

it is about the camra and patience

tools for the job
tripod
dslr=digital single lens reflex
and a flash gun
put camra on the tripod set the shuter to stay open for about one min
you will get white lines on your photo
fire your flash manually full power then shut the shuter
keep on doing this to you get the photo you desire I did say you need patience
I am a photographer
  www.byteland.org/.../howtophotographfireflies
 put in your internet and  searsh  how to photograph fireflies at night
and look on images very good photos
hope this helps
