I think the first one might Marina, it seems too flat on to the beach to be Graziella and you can see buildings in the distance down the road.
Maybe Dimitris could enlighten us. (He might even remember) :) Sorry Boss!

Bravo Gotty!!

This is the fisrt bulding of the Taverna which is today  "Kostas on the beach"
His father was a fisherman who had this beatifull place  to spend time with his friends and make a  decent living.....    In 1977 I was 5 years old  I do remember that there was no jetty ( and no bench)  on the beach.... The beach became sandy on the front after the contsruction of the pier ( about 1980 or later)

I'm really enjoying this. Some more lovely pictures of Arillas and surroundings from Gotty, hope there's more still.

Thanks boss. I won't wake up tomorrow still wondering which one it was! And as you suggest, there was just one thing wrong in Arillas in those days - NO BENCH!!!!

lol
Phil

Gotty

'Mirtiotissa 1977' picture surely that is the Arillas North beach yes? Or another?! intrigued! I have read about some similar sounding beach in one of the Durell's books? Our first year was 1995. When our gorgeous Marinaki was the Flamingo Pool. We always used to say...."perfect spot for some apts" ..

Jo, Mirtiotissa or Myrtiotissa is the only official nudist beach in Corfu, it is not far from Glyfada.
