Just checked a couple of weather sites and there are conflicting reports, we will be there then so I think I will just pack a brolly but keep my shorts and  flip flops on.

Says 3 days of rain during that week on this site:-
http://www.accuweather.com/en/gr/kerkyra/184656/daily-weather-forecast/184656?day=11
But if they're anything like our local weather forecasts I wouldn't worry - most of the time they don't even get it right for the weather we are actually having (many a time I've been told that the evening will continue to be fine - but outside it's raining) never mind looking that far into the future.
And anyway - you will be in Arillas !!! - rain there is not the same as rain in the UK :-)
Home is where the heart is - CORFU :-)

if it does rain a lot :( what is there to do. we know it's a fairly quiet resort that is why we picked it but we have quite a basic apartment so would be nice to know what to expect just in case. the weather reports yesterday mentioned no rain yet today even on the sites where it's saying 30degrees and no rain if you click on the precipitation reports it does ay 3 days at least 90% chance of rain. I still can not wait to go though :)

Accuweather forecast rain in Turkey one August, and it simply does not happen.  What we got was a high wind and waves on the sea so our boat trip was cancelled.  Even if it did rain it would likely be a summer storm and they are fairly spectacular.  In any case, it is far to soon to predict that far ahead so i really would not give it another thought.

I fly out on the 23rd and I am not worrying.

Haha Eggy, I can imagine you would enjoy a shower or two over there.  However, in the UK this year it is not just the roses that are suffering with Blackspot!

Hope no nasties whip up out on the ocean.

If it does rain, it will probably just be a huge storm and then it will blow over. It never rains for days on end in July and August - unlike some places we know!!

So correct Sandy meluvver. We have spent 8 Julys (is that grammar for plural? Julies, July's - someone please correct me.) We have spent that month in Arillas for many of the last ten years and the only complaint was that it was too hot. One spectacular storm, but they are just FUN if you are there underneath.

You can get big Mistraio winds that require forum members to save others from being blown out to sea. Do you remember that drink you owe me Eileen? lol.

Rain does not alter holiday enjoyment in Arillas in July or August. Simples. Your meerkat toy is there waiting to be claimed.
