i very much doubt there will be any rain, i have been in june and sept and encountered rain with thunder and lightening, was incredable to see though, and lasted a couple of hours then baking hot after, thats what makes the island look so lush and beautiful

It would appear that the errant Jet Stream that has created all the areas of low pressure over the Uk this summer, is now about the move North.  Thus the UK will warm up next week and become dry.

Unfortunately, for holidaymakers from aforementioned UK, the Jet Stream will then swoop down over a certain Greek Island, causing thunder storms.

So, I look forward to some spectacular natural pyrotechnic displays when I arrive next week - I don't mind the odd storm or two.  Just please, please, spare me persistent drizzle - that I most certainly do not want!

I have to report that it was cloudy on Monday morning (23rd) and rained a little as we were leaving but it was still warm and wouldn't spoil anything, I'm sure.

Hi all.  Yup, witnessed about four drops of rain on Tuesday.  I managed to avoid three of them and the fourth simply evaporated as it landed on my overheated skin:). Having a simply wonderful time doing nothing:). Have met Neil when he was at the tria on Tuesday and also have spent a fair amount of time chatting to Ruby and her family.  Will be booking for next year as soon as i get home.  Love to everyone, back off to do nothing now:)

i have seen some teriffic lightening scenes when ive been there in june and september, and the best one was seeing a mini tornado coming from gravia island, it dissapeared before it reached shore, by then i was hiding in the apartment haha, scary but brilliant to see

I nearly didn't say hello Angela as I read the above as "Persistent Dribble"
(Do I talk that much?)

Weekend looks to be a hottie - Kavvadades forecast says a high of 36.

I can report that the Mistraio winds have kept us all sane here for the last few days. We have been here two weeks so far, and sometimes the heat has been oppressive when the humidity rose. When it did rain, the unfortunate individuals who got one drop on their skin were being marked out for a lottery win, ie 1 in 15 million!!

Rain? Did you spend June in England? Now THAT was rain.
