There were a few clouds last night, but can't say it spoilt anything.

Oh wow Dai, what a fantastic photo - shall be seeing these views for myself soon!  Have a great holiday:)

AccuWeather is pants, 2 weeks before we travelled on the 25th June it hinted at Rain for 4 days of our first week, a day later it was 4 days, a day later none with a cloudy day and after that sun. They are all fit for maybe a 3 day forecast. In the end we had no rain and only the odd fluffy white cloud.

Don't panic!

Truth

To be honest I am obsessed with weather forecasts (even though they are usually a waste of time!) and I have always found accuweather to be one of the better ones ! lol
Best just to turn up and see what happens, although its not advice I take myself !

RAIN BY MONDAY PEEPS - SO I AM TOLD.

And.... if no rain please expect a very heavy breeze and get sandblasted on the beach. Be brave - take out a pedalo and be whisked to Albania without yer legs working overtime.

And.... If it rains then don't worry about it.
Why change into a cossie when you can stand anywhere, arms outstretched and get wet. - Twill be a warmish wet and save you taking the plunge!
(Super advice for non swimmers)

rain by Monday??? where dI'd u hear that. .. although if it hits Monday selfish it may be globe by the week after but to be fair I don't have much luck haha!  I'm still looking forward to my holiday!

Dai

I've been told by a few locals the most accurate forecast for Arillas is the meteo website, which is showing monday as partly cloudy. http://www.meteo.gr/cf-En.asp?city_id=5.

It would be nice to sit through an Arillas storm again

hannahshepherd

your photo is beautiful!!

jackson

ive just checked 3 weather reports snow monday hurricane rest of the week oops but seriously there is just one that said 25th and 26th may be 0.08mm so just see what happens and dont let it bother you and enjoy

hannahshepherd

definitely got to stop looking .its back to saying rain on 23rd and 24th!

Eggy

I will name my "informants" for you all.

Nikos n Linda, Night Owl, say:-
"When the little black flies start biting in the evening, rain will soon follow"
Takis , Armourada , told me yesterday :-
"A cold and windy day on Monday , maybe some rain"
Neighbour, Makis, who is a fireman at the Airport says rain is forecast.
Of course nowt to bother anybody but we always listen to these wise words, do we not?

Always reminds me of living in Somerset and the local farmer saying:-
"Orl my cows be facing Norf smorning. An me sheep , them keeping away from big ole Oak. Eavy wind n rain be comin from the south morrow"
We smile leave out the washing and all car windows open.
WOTAPPENSNEXT?

And AccuWeather shows 35 degrees and bright sunshine for Monday.....as I said pants!! The week after still shows 1 day rain one day partial rain, but again I'd rather trust David Cameron than AcuWeather beyond 72 hours. Whatever it will be better than those poor sods believing the ads and taking a "staycation" in 2012

justphil

Watch the forum. It is much better than the forecasts and all the other rubbish you read. Including any posts by justphil of course.....

If it rains here I will let yous all know, but George Bardis said to me this morning that it might rain in December, but next week? Forget it. Like Eggy says, it won't affect anyones' holiday in July/August. The stunning storms that late September bring are something else though. But later in the day you wouldn't know they had happened.

The weather is a bitch, but believe me, whatever has happened to Greece, we Brits can't do any worse than escape  here for a respite from the junk that we are going through.

GaryS

Well said Phil, hope you are having a good one. Missed you by about 4 days this year. One day......
