Oh all right then.

Being in my spiritual home.
Being there with my Jen.
Jen's reaction to being there.
Drinking draught Mythos in the Nut.
Drinking bottled Mythos everywhere else
Swimming in the gorgeous salty sea.
Eating in ...... So many lines here,
Nattering with all and sundry.
The feelings of peace, belonging and happiness.

Phil

Drive to Paleo and Doukades to relive my Shirley Valentine experience!
Eat at: Brouklis, Vavillas, and Effie's
Go to Akritiri as often as we can
Mooch around old Arillas
Chat with the the lovely Yiota
Swim in the beautiful Ionian sea every day
Most of all, be happy, relaxed and thoroughly re-charged

Go fishing, catch nothing but swear that I had 2 good bites
Wander back to the pool bar, give the expats a copy of last weeks Daily Mail (in exchange for a beer)
Wander to the Coconut
Wander to the Marvel (via Amourada)
Ride to Angelica's ouzery in Kavadades (chew the fat with the locals)
Wander up to Mon Amour for a meal (you want meat or fish?)
Disappear home

Day 2 ...

I had 10 things on my list for last years 1 week visit and I managed all but 1. So that means I can have 20 things on this years list ;D

In no particular order..

○Corfu Town, Cemetery & Mouse Island - I'm thinking of staying over for the night in Corfu Town so that I can do all these things without feeling rushed!

○Albania Tour - will probably opt for the guided tour as I'm not too sure about wandering around Albania on my tod!

○Paxos, Anti Paxos and Blue Caves cruise or Parga & Paxos - I'll see how I feel on the day! ha

○Mount Pantokrator & Old Perithia

○Mathraki & Othoni adventure

○Sidari & Canal d' Amour

○Kanoni & Achilleion

○Calypso Star

○Two Island Cruise (Vidos & Pontikinosi)

○Sivota - Blue Lagoon

I haven't looked into any others just yet so this is it for now lol

Corfu Town etc, Albania & Paxos etc are a definite! I really wanted to do those last year but just didn't have the time, so those will be the first trips I book.

160 days to go :D
Can't wait! :-)

Well what I MUST do, is try to sleep in past 8am, I must try to resist alcohol until at LEAST 1am, I must complete at least 40 lengths in the pool each morning, I must pack some walkimg boots and complete the Arillas trail, I must avoid feta and calorie -laden Pina Colada's, I must have a few early nights and avoid raucious establishments at all costs.......HOWEVER. What I will do, is meander across to my bench each morning and sip some coffee as Arillas wakes up, I will then have a blissful hour on the North beach and marvel at this perfect place I feel compelled to return to year after year, then I will return to the chilled out pool and have a splash around in the pool with the kids, then I will have a long leisurely lunch which will involve some chilled white wine and calorie-laden feta, then I will return to my pool with some more chilled wine (and corfu nuts) and sway gently on my hallowed swing, whilst watching the world go by, then I will (reluctantly) try to make myself passable for the evening's activities, which will involve strolling to the pre-booked sunset view table and marvelling that we are indeed in paradise once more. Then we will follow this gastromic delight with a chilled drink at Ammos/Horizon/Akti followed by a fantastic night in the Coconut listening to 'Brown-eyed girl' and hopefully cuddling the very new and very tiny new baby! Get me there now!

- All the usual firsts: First whiff of Corfu when leaving the airplane, first Metaxa, first glass of Dimitris' father's rosé, first sunset, first visits to restaurants and shops in order to say hello, first swim in the sea...
- Waving like mad when the taxi from the airport passes Brouklis.
- Getting up several times during the first night in order to go out on the balcony to listen to the fascinating sounds of the sea.
- Getting up at early dawn at least one morning, in order to stand in the hotel corridor outside our room watching the sun rise over the valley. This cannot be seen from our room, as the balcony faces the other way. Consequently we can watch the sunrises, so am not complaining!
- Deciding to visit Corfu town, and, in the end, preferring not to leave Arillas.
- In short: Experiencing once again all the reasons why one keeps returning year after year.

Prince123...... think you may have to add "avoid the police" to your list.
