Hi Steve and Carole, I just wish that I was watching huge seas in Arillas. Look after yourselves, the southwest is suffering badly.

Been watching on and off all day......at one point the jetty was disappearing with each wave, just the road end showing.
Then the road started to flood, do hope not too much damage is being done.

It's been a pretty rough time for all here.

36mm of rain from yesterday afternoon to 10am. That's 139mm from the evening of the 29th Nov.

The wind has been so strong that, this evening, it lifted my large poly shed and turned it on it's side. Bearing in mind that it originally took 3 of us to lift and site it, shows the strength of the "breeze" An hour later, it put it upright again. (But in a different place!) I need to assess the damage tomorrow.
5 power cuts tonight ranging from a 30 second blip to 10 minutes.

9 deg outside at 10 pm and still blowing away merrily, with a few hailstones thrown in for good measure.

That's it folks. I'll quickly post this and switch off before nature switched off for me. - Cheers Negg

Various stories , Valnbill, of trees being blown down and a couple of yachts worse the wear in Corfu Town Harbour. A corragated roof vanished from a small Taverna in Perolades

My 3mt x 2mt poly shed, which had a framework made from 100mm square timber, ended up in the neighbours garden. It took two of us, this morning just to carry the roof back.

Life continues though and we now sit here with a dry 12 deg outside albeit a couple of power blips. Home at 10pm after two beers and now wondering what all the fuss was about!

Cheers
Negg
