Cost of Living 2013
« on: June 03, 2013, 04:02:26 PM »
Hi all - first post

Returning to Arillas in July after a 11 year gap and really looking forward to it - kids now grown up.

We have generally holidayed the past few years in non-euro zone or All Inclusive. I read a post from last year on costs of things and it looked reasonable but wanted to get a sense of cost this year for budgetting and taking into account issues in Greece.

My benchmark is usually the price of a pint - but i will need to eat as well!!

Could any of you guide me on current experiences - average meal, pint, water etc.

Much appreciated - Efcharisto

Cheapest pint was 2 euro ( a draught at Tria or a Mythos at Thomas's) and the dearest I had all week was a 2.75 , saw a couple of 3 euro advertised but none of the 3.5 euro I have seen mentioned on here before. I would think that would be at Ammos or somewhere a bit more upmarket. Paid 2.50 euros for a coke in there when we popped in for a refresher.
Food and water all looked the same price as last year , in fairness so was the alcohol other than a few cents here and there.
You will NOT be shocked .....
