If you can get up the hill, go to The Night Owl, traditional, unpretencious, and the pork chops are the best anywhere....we call them brontasaurous chops, as they are huge!

Wish I had got to that one, first Geoff.
Maybe that's the reason there are not so many cats around.

Me and my Dad walked up to Night Owl one afternoon and when we got there it was shut !!!  Typical ! lol
I have nothing against cats, its just my mom is petrified of them, in actual fact we tend to try and do our bit for them when we are in Greece with food and milk.
Captains rarely seems to get a mention when people are discussing restaurants. Very nice and very authentic, nice to just sit there and have a beer people watching too

I can only manage one course at the Captains, the portions are huge. I then have to sit and watch everyone eat !!

Another lovely family at the Captains.
The food is always top class and inexpensive but like you Val I always struggle to eat so much.

Captains Table is another lovely taverna in Arillas, just opposite Marvel and Rainbow.

But agree with everyone that you need to be Desperate Dan to eat all of the food they provide (any one remember The Dandy comic? Cow pie etc....) But it is quality as well, not just quantity. I once asked for a child's portion, but still left half of it. For those with a big appetite it must be food heaven.

Hi Michael,

There are 3 routes I take depending on the mood lol!

The most scenic route but longer one from Kostas is to go left once at the seafront. Follow the road right to the end where it bares left past Bardis Sun Studio's and Bardis Hotel then take first right. Follow the road up and around until you get to the T junction. Turn left and Night Owl is on your right.

Or, go right out of Kostas and take first right after the brewery. Follow the road down until the T junction and turn left which brings you out opposite Tria. Turn right then first left. Follow the road up until T junction and turn right. Night Owl will then be on your left.

Or, go right out of Kostas and take first right after the brewery. Follow the road down until the T junction and turn left which brings you out opposite Tria. Turn left then first right. Follow the road up until T junction and turn right. Night Owl will eventually be on your left.

Confused? I am ha ha
