Gaz, Rhodes is much further South. 360 days a year of sun, everything is brown. I have only ever felt warm in the sea in Rhodes (but in mid season so no surprise.) I love Rodos, it is the only other place I would spend my limited money on. My original wedding ring is buried in the sea at Faliraki (long before the TV disaster called Greece Uncovered or similar.) It just slipped off my finger. Needless to say I am still married and happily so to my Jen.If you go to Rhodes, visit the Old Town. So gorgeous. There is even a little beach. But no apologies. Mistraio, thunderstorms, politics or anything, I have arrived as an Arilliac, and will never change. Nobody can take it away from us.As for the sea, you will only see me in there when it is warm. In October it is superb, and almost nobody else bothers.Phil
Hi PhilSorry about the ring. There's a certain fish off the North coast of Crete who is going around wearing a cool pair of black Raybans as I write this....
