Whenever we have mentioned boat trips to our kids (now 19 and twins of 15) they always protest how boring they would find it but we had the best of both worlds last year and hired a motor boat from Arillas watersports and took it to Paleo. They loved it. Had a chance to steer and also had great fun snorkeling I some gorgeous crystal blue water. Highly recommend it.

The Theo trip is a bit mad and he gets up to lots of antics. You stop off for a barbecue somewhere on mainland Greece. It is good fun but only ever seen it advertised with Thomson.

Gary , ex Arillas Watersports is now working in Ag. Stephanos, with a boat hire company.

San Stefano Travel do a range of boat trips - some go from San Stef harbour and some go from Corfu Town with transfer to town included.
See :-

although I think they may have other trips if you contact them.

Not surprised about Captains to be honest. It used to be great but would not return after a really bad meal last year. They didn't really seem to have much of the food that was on the menu and kept running over to the Marvel. It was very hit and miss I am afraid.

Funny you should say that Jersey Bean as we always had a treck there for one of their delicious breakfasts but was really disappointed last year. Still a shame though :(
