our band
« on: September 10, 2014, 11:44:14 AM »
Hello all forumers. Thank you admin, for allowing us to join in.

We are The Worried Men of Corfu.
For those of you who don't know us, we are...Griff, Allan, Bob and Gordon.

We play our style of music, in and around Arillas, when we are all here on this wonderful island. (usually May/June and September/ October.

We have met some of you, and we hope to meet many more, so, we thought this was a great place to make ourselves known. We also have a facebook page ( The Worried
Men of Corfu). We have just got together again, and we are playing at Tria Adelphia tonight, around 9 ish. We hope to see some of you there.

Hopefully we will keep you all informed through this forum, and you come and enjoy our music.

Thanks for taking the time to read this......see you soon.

If you get the opportunity, go along and see these guys, it's always a great night out when they're playing.

Together they create a super sound which , in turn makes a super laid back evening.
Must not be missed so if you see a sign advertising a gig, then make a note in your diary.

I am so sorry to have missed you, we left two days ago. I saw Griff at the wine festival and had a nice cuddle. Seriously folk if you have never seen them, you must seek them out. We have seen them several, times at Armourada and Rainbow and always enjoy their easy listening, laid back songs. See you next year guys xx
We were in Arillas for 2 whole months and going again for 2 weeks :-)

We had a great night (our first since June)  at Tria Adelphia on Wednesday. We had a 'guest' come and join us for 'knocking on heavens door', so, thank you Dave for that.

On Thursday 18th, we'll be at Rainbow, so if anyone on holiday fancies that for a night out, please come along....We're looking forward to that.

I was gonna say " Could you guys keep up with him?"

But..... on reflection.... if you're knocking on "Heavens Door" you don't want to do that too fast...
(In case someone answers it!!)

Maybe Wegg and I will meet up with Sandy , that night?
Maybe Rainbow will have a Mexican food time?

Cheers
Negg

Well I have to say that I've heard OF The Worried Men of Corfu but unfortunately have not heard them .... until now - I've just listened on YouTube and am quite impressed!

I hope to hear them for real sometime soon - I fly out from Manchester on 26th, arriving late at Corfu airport, so hopefully from 27th September up to 10th October I should be able to hear them live.

Janis x

Sandy, it will be great to see you again, and hopefully Negg too, (and the lovely Wegg too, of course). Janis, we will be organising more gigs, and will definately be playing somewhere during your visit. Glad you like the music.....we sound even better now, (even if we do say so ourselves), as we have some new equipment.   We're looking forward to the next couple of months.....watch this space!
