Largest pool?
« on: January 17, 2015, 07:13:52 PM »
Hi everyone

Does anyone know which is the largest pool in Arillas? I've visited only a few of them - Bardis Studios, Rainbow, Tria, Marinaki and Mirage, oh and Sharon's. Is there another that's bigger and suitable for lengths that's within reasonable walking distance of the centre?

Not long now, I'm over half way there ..... the weeks are flying by!

Hi Karen. Apart from Kaloudis, Marvel, Bardis Hotel, Anna's and Elena Stella, I think you mention all of the pools. None are Olympic sized, all geared for leisure and holidaymakers. Sandy gets her lengths in at Rainbow every morning (fair makes my eyes water just thinking about it! I don't "swim" except in Mythos, I just paddle and float in the sea!)

I guess Rainbow is probably your answer. You might have to do twice as many "lengths"  to cover the distance.....

loveandhugs. See you in July!
Phil

Anyone know what the length of the Bardis Hotel is?  I always think it looks the biggest pool in Arillas, but I could be wrong... http://www.bardis-hotel.com/

Well as everyone knows, I have always been a Rainbow girl. Their pool is 17 metres long according to Spiros. I know Claire says the Bardis pool is bigger....but I've never tried it. I certainly think they are the best two for doing lengths......

Yes I would probably guess at the Bardis pool (not to be confused with the studios next door or you think we will all have gone mad!) The marinaki is a lively size for me. What about Thetis palace?

I tend to agree with the majority and go with Bardis Hotel. No such thing as a bad pool though.        Ron.

The amazing thing is how any visitor to Arillas can get into so many wonderfully maintained pools by simply arriving, buying their lunch and being friendly. I agree that Bardis Hotel is probably the biggest. And we forgot Sea Breeze. I hate LISTS! I always miss someone or something out.

And Galini, Christos..... I reckon Arillas must be the world record for numbers of pools per human body.

Note to self..... Don't post before you think it through........

Thanks everyone.

I enviously watch others swimming up and down the bay, Tony, and really wish I could do the same. I saw, from the Brouklis balcony, the doctor go for his morning swim everyday last year. Having a dip from the heat, staying near the edge and being able to see the bottom is about my limit. Paranoia always kicks in; I think I can see sharks or jellyfish, or worse ...... I know I know. And a piece of seaweed touching my leg has me scrambling out of the water in an embarrassingly undignified manner!

The Thetis pool does look biggish Jo. I'll set off one day for a swim and a beer this year. So much to do in Arillas, so little time :-)

Phil and Jen, love and hugs, health and happiness right back to you x
