Beach Access
« on: June 23, 2015, 09:38:36 PM »
I was wondering if anyone currently in Arillas would be able to comment on how the beach is looking at the moment. Has it got any wider, and what's the access like to the north end? Also, has the sun bed man put beds and parasols on the north beach?
We are due in Arillas soon so would be interested to know.
Many thanks.

Thank you for that, however there hasn't been any update for a week. Does anyone have any latest information.
Many thanks.

Hi Steve, had a walk on there  today. Quite windy but sunbed man said it would create more beach. There's enough sand for 2 rows of beds by the slope below Kaloudis. Access to north beach was okay, just one bit of wading which came just below my knees.Pretty sure there were some sunbeds at the north end. Hope this helps.
Barry.

Thanks for the update Barry.  We arrive Monday so hopefully the beach will continue to improve.

For anyone interested in the north beach, we've just returned home after 2 weeks in Arillas and access to the beach was easy. Most days there was no wading whatsoever and the beach was quite wide, especially where the sun beds are (not to everyone's liking I know but we like a bit of "comfort").
On a couple of occasions the sea did come up close but there was still no need to wade, you only got your feet wet.
Just before the naturist section an area has been cordonned off where there has been a rock fall. It looks like it won't be too long before there is another one judging by the cracks.
I know the beach can quickly change according to the weather but thought anyone about to go to Arillas and who likes the north end might be interested.

Steve

Yes there was a rockfall at approx 7am yesterday. Fortunately as it was so early the beach was empty.
