Mobile App boarding cards????
« on: August 07, 2015, 05:25:08 PM »
Hi everyone....

Has anyone recently used the Ryanair (or Easyjet) Mobile App form of electronic boarding card rather than the printed card/paper version when travelling home from Corfu airport.

As you may be aware, travelling with Ryanair you can only check in and print off paper boarding cards within seven days of travel if you haven't pre paid for your seats. Not so good for a two week holiday if you don't have access to a printer for the return leg. Using the Ryanair App though you can check in on line and show your electronic boarding card held on the App on your iphone/device. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of how the staff at Corfu Airport deal with the electronic version.

Thanks

We used this last week coming home - it is no problem although you do still have to queue at the airport to 'check in' the cases. It was funny as she then had to give us a hand written boarding card to take through to departures. Plenty of places with wi-fi to download boarding cards.

Hi Linsey....

Thanks for the quick reply...half guessed that there would be a strange twist and that they would end up giving you paper at the airport....somehow seems to defeat the object of the electronic version!!!

As you say, plenty of wifi to check in with and to download the passes whilst we are there but not so many places that give you access to a printer if you wanted to print your boarding cards off. There will be 5 of us travelling and Ryanair prices are, I think, a bit steep to pre book seats. £11 per seat per flight makes it £110 in total...a bit steep when you have managed to get the actual flights at a good price. We will take our chances  with them allocating our seats.

We had our Easyjet  boarding passes on the App on our tablet. Showed them for scanning when we needed to, no paper needed, no problems at all.

Hi Steve & Carole -you got home safely then? After we got home for what seemed like ages Jonathan would often say "Steve & Carole are still in Arillas". We were so envious. I trust you enjoyed the rest of your stay? In fact I am sure you will have.
