Floods in June?

(1/2) > >>

TerryW:
The videos and photographs showing todays storm look horrendous. I hope everyone is OK and no property has been damaged. I also hope that the beach isn't going to be worse in the aftermath!!.

jackson:
I have just had a message from georgos goudellis who you know runs the Malibu and he said that everyone is fine, but yes it is a bit of a mess on the front near the Mirage

Eggy:
The Sea Front is a mess , indeed , but nothing that will phase the locals - "Normal Service will be resumed ... and all that"

Over 3 hours , this morning, we had around 70 mm rainfall, which will give all an indication of the deluge.
(Our 6 inch guttering around the house was not big enough to handle it)

Anyway , we sit now with a dry 25 deg and all look forward to much clearing up avrio.

Cheers
Negg

Yes, I hear it was quite a storm with flights having to divert to Athens.

These lovely people here are amazing, yes quite a bit of devastation but everyone out clearing up. Digger already out clearing all the debris on the beach and by tonight you wouldn't have known there had been a storm!
Power on and off at intervals but business as normal.
