We are thinking about staying in Arillas instead of Acharavi (We have come to Corfu every year since 1997)

Irene's Apartments look wonderful?

Any comments gratefully received!

Jane

Hi
take at look at "Robs" remarks at the bottom of the first page in  "Accomodation Reviews" He placed it last September.
They are good looking appartments and I know the owners are keen to do well.
Cheers
Negg

Hi Jane

We will be staying at Irene's from 9th to 26th June - hope to see you there!  We have not stayed there before, but know people who have and it is highly recommended.  Eleni is very helpful and will fit you in if she can.  Nice pool next door at the Marvel(lous) hotel.

Good luck with your accommodation search.  8)

Hello Fiona!

So it is you that has got the studio from 9th June!!!

I have just received a reply from Irene's Apartments and we can only have a studio room from 2-9th June......I won't hold it against you though!!!

We always have two weeks in Corfu at the beginning of June and we have done since 1997.....We usually stop in Acharavi but we decided upon a change this year.  Arillis looks so lovely!

I am going back to the drawing board to find quiet accommodation here in Arillis, I must find somewhere pretty quick as we have booked and paid for our flight between 2nd and 16th June......I am starting to panic a little bit now!!

So if anyone can help me find a quiet studio apartment (with a balcony) please feel free to advise me!!!!

Jane

PS I will look out for you Fiona!

Hello Jane

I'm sorry for you that we've got in first!!  We actually booked before Christmas which is most unusual for us - normally last minute people!  However, knowing that I've got a holiday booked in Arillas keeps me going through the miserable winter in the UK.

Have you tried Bardis Sun Studios?  We are going there in August and the prices really are very good.  We booked our own flights and then contacted Nancy at http://info@corfuescape.com.  You can have a look first at http://www.corfuescape.com

Don't panic as I am sure you will find somewhere with no problem.

Fiona

Hi Fiona,

Thanks for the help!!

I have already had a look at Bardis........Looks a bit noisy for me and my husband!  (Football shirts and bar = noise......The only noise we want to hear is the lapping sea and our book pages rustling!!!!)  That is why we loved the look of Irene's (nice way out of town too!)

Dimitra's looks OK....in fact it looks very OK!

Yours
Jane

Hi Janet

My family and I have been repeatedly returning to Arillas for many years and can assure you that with a very few exceptions, you will not be kept awake at night because of noise, Arillas just isn’t that type of resort.

We have stayed at Irenes Apts and they were beautiful, which of course is little consolation as you have unfortunately missed out.  You could try the Horizon hotel, which is right on the seafront and rooms are all air con with fab views.  They have fridges as well and some have a kitchenett I believe.

We have stayed for the past year and are going this year to the Marinaki apts which again are on the beach front in an idyllic setting. (contact via the Marina Hotel).

There are also some lovely little studios tucked behind the Portifino which my parents stayed at a few years ago, but I cant remember the name.  Perhaps someone else on here can help?  Are they ‘makris’?  that rings a bell.  Hope this helps a little and that you get sorted.

Can I book Bardis Sun Apartments direct with them and not via an agent?

If so, can someone  give me an e-mail address or something.....

I have never been so confused in my life....Everywhere in Arillas looks so lovely!

Thank you for helping this silly old bat!!!
